Struggling at Klutch Kickers Round 2 | HertVlog

Back at Cleetus McFarland's Freedom Factory for Klutch Kickers Round 2. I'm still at rookie level seat time in this car and everytime I've driven it we've made some serious changes to the suspension. Competition level grip is a big learning curve for me as well. The Florida heat wasn't a variable I even thought I would have to battle but I learned that I really need to keep my body cool for these long days(17 hours total at the track!). The struggle continues but let's party anyway. I'll continue doing my best and making improvements.

Hey Hert, you mentioned needing to work on meditation @ 18:40 pre-race. Essentially, your pre-game focus. I might have a couple tips that could help with that. I was a hockey goalie up here in Canada up to Junior level. A couple degrees away from pro, which is highly competitive up here. I was in goalie schools in my teens, etc. Sports psychology helps train the focus and will required to be a winner rather than just a competitor. Even though it is fun, if you want to win, you have to have solid mental game. To avoid psyching yourself out in the calm before battle, visualization is key. Don't pay attention to the cars in line ahead of you or anything around you but the taillights in front. Your mind should be visualizing the track, the perfect lead or chase, what you know about your competitor and what tactics and countermoves you might need against them. Once you are up next, psyched and ready, drop your visor, beat your chest, drum the wheel, whatever certain ritual that gets you psyched for battle. Go time... That turned into a damn novel... Even if only one person reads this and it gets them stoked, it's all good. Dig the channel, keep up the up the killer content. I like the fun chill vibes, but you have to work on your edge. You can be a fierce competitor and a chill nerd in the same body... I am huge into FPV r/c stuff lately, lol

Hert!... Build a REALLY FAST/ REALLY GRIPPED UP/ ACTUALLY SIMPLE and inexpensive car to run that you can drive all the time. Get the jitters out so that you feel more comfortable in the comp car. I know you live on the other side, but OSW has track days all the time.
