Always listen to the market you are serving. Their collective voice (where they place their money) is all you need to know as a CEO. Listen before you speak. That's how you learn. Apparently the Hertz CEO missed that lesson.

Actually it was Hertz CEO Mark Fields who decided to buy all of these EVs in October of 2021. Mark Fields then left Hertz, and Stephen Scherr inherited this big mess. Recently Hertz decided to sell another 10,000 EVs and replace them with gas powered vehicles.

Are people willing to buy what you want to sell? If not, the resulting losses are your fault and could cost you your job. Make decisions on their likelihood of profitability and not on whether they make you feel that your "Saving the Planet "
