“Boost” etpu is not proprietary to Adidas. It’s sourced from a company called BASF. Other companies don’t have an “ultraboost” type of midsole, but I’ve seen companies like Anta , LiNing and Peak use the same etpu.

@@heskicks right.. but any shoe company can partner with BASF and technically make a “boost” midsole without getting into trouble. Maybe a good video for you to do is compare all these different shoes from different companies using “boost”. At least for the ones that are readily available.

I like what you did with the leather Ultraboost and the stenciling. It’s not something I would normally be into, but it reminds me of the stenciling work people do with Authentic Japanese Gundam models. It makes them look like they have paint jobs and are made of metal, instead of a plastic toy. So basically you made a pair of Gundam Ultraboosts.

Well done video. I have the free ride terrex 2 hiking boot with boost and love it. I've been trying other boost/ultraboost shoes, but the fabric sock material is too tight around my foot. I don't have wide feet either, but wearing DNA or ultraboost while sitting it too constricting on my feet. I love the midsoles and will continue looking for a pair of two that fit well. Thanks!

IMO the invincible fly knit way more comfortable than the ultraboost recently got a pair of 22s .with the invincible as soon as I put it on foot was like walking on a cloud not so much the 22s. And with the insoles in shoe it was like My toe wanted to Pop out top of the shoe

Hey Hes Kicks, I’m looking at picking up a ultraboost 22 as a casual everyday work shoe, working at a clinic as a Chiropractic assistant and studying to be Licensed massage Therapist. Are they gonna be good for that or would you recommend the dna over the 22’s? I’m just looking to be comfortable and not be achy and sore at the end of the day. I got a flat foot. Thoughts?

Omg I’m going to lose my mind if I don’t find what my old shoes were called! I was given a hand me down pair of adidas tennis shoes (or whatever the proper term is these days) that were like a bright baby/sky blue, grey and/or white in 2012. They were absolutely THE most comfortable pair of tennis shoes I’ve EVER worn. I wound up losing them due to a bad living situation and move in June 2013 and mourned the loss of those suckers ever since. The sole under the heel, from the side, looked like a blue plastic honeycomb. I wore the hell out of those things on top of being the second owner, and that cushioning technology was just *chef’s kiss* because it always retained the amazing cushion AND spring back. If anyone can identify this model so that MAYBE I can hunt down a new pair, I’d be eternally grateful!

I love boost sneakers but imo Adidas just flooded us with wayyy too many models, that’s why I like other boost lines like: Solar Boost, Alphaboost and Web boost lines, because they’re more straight forward and also you have less models which imo is better, it’s even easier to keep track of the other Boost lines that I’ve mentioned earlier even than Yeezy 350’s (because you have the V1, and the V2 simple right, wrong… on the v2 especially because you have the OG styling which is SPLY-350 on the side, then you have the Carbon look (with a strike going through the middle of the upper, then you have the mono, and then you also have the cmpct 350 V2’s… it’s over saturating the sneaker market, imo with the V2’s they should’ve kept just the SPLY-350 OG models and the Carbon styling to be easy to follow with many colorways so it’s much easier…) anyway rant over, I love Boost and adidas but they just over saturated the market with UB’s and 350 V2 models.

So what exactly is the DNA line? You glossed over it so fast and it's one of the most confusing things about the line to me

They came out with the DNA because people were crying they did like the changes to the UB19 since it was brand new from the ground up. So they kept the DNA for those who like the OG model. There might be subtle changes to the upper every year and release it as a 6.0, 7.0 etc but it's still based off the OG model.

Hes, I’ll never understand your excessive appreciation for boost technology. Don’t get me wrong adidas boost is an extremely comfy tech, but nowadays there are plenty of shoes much more comfortable than even the UB22. I could probably name 5 shoes more comfortable than the UB ASICS nimbus 24 ASICS novablast New balance 1080 v12 New balance lerato Nike zoomx invincible run Oncloud cloudmonster Oncloud cloud runner Hoka arahi 6 Again not saying that boost is bad and I have also seen your reviews on some of these models, but imo boost is now an overrated and outdated tech. At this point even lightstrike and lightstrike pro are more comfortable than most boost shoes.

Yes, those shoes are good from a performance standpoint. The Ultraboost you can still get away with it for lifestyle purposes. It's the best looking recovery shoe. The Ultraboost is their Air Max.
