You see, about heights... I Have this fantasy surrounding the height of the Baltics, mainly Latvia. That in few decades, with Latvia's economy stable or going up, he grows. Grows really tall. And is taller then Russia. Now looking down at him. This image in my mind makes me smile. But now... I think in Japan's case, it's a lack of nutrition. In the past, Japanese people have the same Asian habit, eat rice- and they gained the East-Asian features of being- smaller than Westerners (which is true so I'm not being a racist) Lately, mostly after WWII and they start trying to improve very hard, they changed their eating habits and eventually get taller. That's why, Japan seems to be shorter than China, they both grow in the past, not in the future. China during those days have majestic empires and a strong trade in Asia while in Japan (Ryukyu), they have less than China. So yeah, I'm sorry if I triggered anyone. This is just my opinion.

In my head, countries height would be the middle between the places average height and the size of the country, so larger countries like Russia and Canada would take the above average heights but then places like New Zealand or Cyprus would have took the below ones but then you have countries like the Netherlands which blow the idea out the water; small country, crazy tall people.

I would say it's pretty short, then again I'm 183cm so I don't have an accurate sense of how tall is objectively tall

@@cinnamonsplash I'd definitely agree on the fact that it is quite short, but I never saw it as extremely so. I think when you go under 150s then it starts being very short
