OMG how many feelings in this solo. Yes, not a difficult solo, but who needs complicated solos? Music is not a competition. Damn, it's so beautiful!

Hetfield plays the most emotional solos in Metallica songs. And almost all the best in my opinion.

Fuck James he talked shit on Cobain after he died. He made a joke about his eyes being blue cause one blew this way and that way... Oh yeah when they realize Cliff had dandruff? When they found his head Nd shoulders on the dash and under the hood

An easy solo but with a lot of sadness and melancholy :(

My favorite solo, section, song, album, & band of all time. This solo is one of James' most iconic arrangements. Here, he is either at or very near the peak of his creative capacity. I believe this piece, or isolated section of it, to be his "comfortably numb" moment. It seems that much of his career, especially the later days, he often underestimated his ability to move the masses with some of his less exercised talents. Certainly, this is a bold claim when we consider how dominate a role he played in their creative process and the proportion of his contributions to the discography. However, the spectacular quality and timeless inspiration of his infinitesimal lead work, leaves us aching in wonder of what could have been.

Donald he’s talking about what could have been if cliff lived im guessing.... and I 100% agree!!! Yes they are metal legends but it’s a fact the river of future forked that night in 86 .... no more Orion or to live is to die or anesthesia pulling teeth instrumentals with really profound arrangements ..... rip cliff

I had to steal this joke. "What color were Cobain's eyes? Blue cause one blew this way one blew that way" James.... Oh yeah James "when did you realize Cliff had dandruff? When they found his head and shoulders on the dash and under the hood." Not my joke and both are pretty fucked up and distasteful but fair is fair.
