Sounds cool, wish it's really played by Cliff or Jason... But I doubt it. Cliff recorded his demos on a plain tape recorder, and this sounds too digital and clean for me (at least bass). This tune sounds even cleaner than Cliff's bass on Master of Puppets album. Where it came from? 30 years of nothing, and here it is... But now all we can do is imagining that that's really played with Burton's fingers... R.I.P. Cliff Burton! \m/

Ryne Clausen Dude objectively Lemmy is not a very good bass player, he is extremely sloppy and not really a composing genius. He is not anywhere close to being the best and anyone who has grabbed a bass in his life would agree. Also comparing Geddy Lee with Lemmy is blasphemy, Geddy is just out of this world.

"To Live Is To Die" When a man lies he murders some part of the world These are the pale deaths which men miscall their lives All this I cannot bear to witness any longer Cannot the kingdom of salvation take me home When I was younger I loved this song. I still do... But it has taken on so much more meaning in my life. The under tones of the ramifications of lying to yourself and denying the world of who one can truly be if they are true to themselves. I look beyond this world now. I look at where I will be if I'm not honest with the Lord. I knew about salvation but I didn't know about salvation. To live we have to die in the flesh. And be reborn in the spirit. It's amazing how we go through life not realizing the Words were always around us. When the veil is lifted... It's that "wow!" moment. The footprints in the sand moment when you realize the Lord never left you... He carried you through the hard times when you thought you wouldn't make it. Thank You Lord for never forsaking me... I am truly ready for the kingdom of salvation to take me home now....

34 years ago, we lost this magnificent bass player at such a high point in Metallica's career. Cliff continues to live through his music which brought Metallica to higher levels of fame, eventually bringing them to the mainstream level of the music industry. He did so much and he gave his gift to the world. I don't care if this this demo was by him or not, but all we know is that this song was to be his send off. A tribute to one of the legendary bassists in metal and even music history. He isn't dead, because he lives within the sounds of his man made bass lines from the band's early days. He lives on with Metallica and he will never be forgotten for as long as we keep him close and memorable to us. He is, was, and always will be the best in the world at what he did. Rest well, Clifford.

I hope he is, he was such a nice person which you can see in older Metallica interviews and videos of cliff on stage the way he died is heartbreaking but at the same time, he still died doing what he loved, with his bass probably near him on that bus. His life was like a shooting star, bright for a while, then it faded to black. But he still left his mark on earth

"When a man lies, he murders a part of the world" Metallica lyrics, written by Cliff, based on the best Arthurian legend movie ever "Excalibur" as spoken in that movie by Merlin the Magician, both stemming from the hymn and poet writer Gerhardt: “When a man lies he murders some part of the world. These are the pale deaths men miscall their lives.” ―Paul Gerhardt Cliff was in tune, on more levels than one, beautiful and respectful of beauty, tragic and respectful of the beauty of tragedy. One of the best, and I don't just mean on the bass. But he sure as shit was a mean motherfucker on a 4-string without a doubt. Thank you Cliff!

I'm only 15 and thanks to the beautiful Cliff's work on his basslines I decided to play the bass... All the effort that he put in all this songs just give me a feeling that I can't describe but it's like a motivation to go ahead... Honestly I wish I could see Cliff live with the rest of Metallica but fate wanted it in another way... A cruel and dark way that left the world around him into obscurity and loneliness... The world lost that bright spark too early... Sorry if this is hard to understand or something but I'm still learning English...
