The link to the blower motor show a part with black bas that has the t25 hole in the wrong places - it is completely different from what you and I have in the van.

I kid you not. My 9.5 year old son pulled out the 3 screws, handed me the bad blower unit, I handed him the new Fan Blower, he replaced the 3 screws and reconnected the electrical clip back in. So proud of my boy!! Moral of the story is even a kid can do this blower replacement. Thanks for the awesome video Best Pixel Repair!

Thank for the video. At 80k miles, I just disassembled mine. Plastic blower cage was ez to remove with a pin punch on the motor shaft. Hardest part was removing "push nut" under the ckt board on the end of motor shaft. Just pried up "push nut" with thin screwdriver... then got needle nose under it to finish prying it off. Removed parts on end of shaft-watch thin washers... Remove steel magnet cage by working apart (magnetic attraction). Once apart, clean motor shaft and sleeve bushings with denatured alcohol. Lube with some Silicone Super Lube oil. Reassemble and you are good to go. If bushings or shaft are really worn you will have to replace whole blower assembly $$$. I also used Crag Contact cleaner on several connections (motor to ckt board and connector to ckt board). I used compressed air to blow out any dust in the assembly. Blessings, John 20:29

Thank you so much for this great video. I ordered these parts and installed them myself - took about 15 minutes with an automatic screwdriver. I was quoted $599/for the blow motor and $65 for the air filter. Happy to say that this was more cost effective and simple to accomplish! Thanks again!!!

Interesting, that different dealers may quote the prices that differ by hundreds $ for the same part/job.

@@HETPEZB I get OEM parts on Ebay. A set of brakes can vary 2-3 times as much for example. Sometimes the OEM parts are cheaper than the 3rd party/aftermarket as in air filters!

They're not very difficult to replace and often times a bit cheaper to purchase online rather than go through a dealership 😉👍... Thank you for this video!

i wish it was this easy on a 2009, the cabin filter is about the same but the motor seems to be a bit harder to remove than this newer model is.

Yes, this newer model is absolutely easy.

Those assemblies are several hundred dollars. It can be completely disassembled, lubed and reassembled and depending on the lubricant it will go for a couple or several more months before starts making noise again. The main challenge is removing a small circular press-on clip on the blower shaft. Small screwdriver and pry gently from underneath the clip, working in circular motion 'til clip is off. You can then access the bushings. I applied light oil originally, but it doesn't last. Neither did 0-20w synth engine oil, nor light teflon grease. Synthetic brake grease used in replacing vehicle brakes is lasting well so far. Clean the bushings first with isopropyl, then apply the grease. When reassembling, be sure that the problematic shaft clip mentioned is pushed all the way down so the blower shaft cannot move end to end or it will make noise when on high.

There is TSB for the blower motor and servo. The filter is yours. So this would have been free. You might need to prove it and fight but I have the same nose and clicking which is not normal.

Hi, there is a rear blower on a Toyota Sienna 2013 model?. If yes where is located and if there is any you tube video, thanks
@HETPEZB6 жыл бұрын
As far as I know there is, and if I'm not mistaken it is located in the trunk compartment by the right wheel. At least it does sound from there. I didn't get to it yet, since it working fine for me.

@@HETPEZB the rear blower is about half the price of the front. Almost bought one by accident.

Just remember... If you buy a different brand/aftermarket filter and it says air flow on it instead of UP then the arrow would have to point down instead of up. I don't think you mentioned that.
