Thanks! I actually used a small handheld rotary polisher. The unit had to come completely apart first though. Went through the same process to restore the Orange polarized window.

@@chrisw.3077 I'm debating whether to restore or just replace the orange window on my unit. Looks like some of the original laminating adhesive has started to fail, leaving smears and bubbles inside. Do you know what kind of polarization these use? I couldn't get mine to block light from an LCD.

@@Conlan0215 I would probably just replace it. I have several of these 3440a voltmeters and the one in the video is the only I believe that isn’t bubbled up. If it’s only around the edges, that’s one thing, but if the bubbles enter the viewing area then I think it’s worth it to have something made. I know the purpose of the window is anti-glare, but I don’t know the particular type of polarization. If you found someone that could make them, I’d go in with you on a quantity. This has been on my radar but I had not looked into it yet.
