Pfizer, Moderna, and AstraZenica have all been proven to be effective at stopping COVID and much safer for you than catching COVID. Even stopping the effects of Long COVID alone are worth taking the vaccine and making them mandatory for schools/workplaces.

And regardless of death rates, the vaccine is proven to significantly reduce symptoms and hospitalizations, as well as the devastating effects of Long COVID, which is also severely destructive in kids. Letting the virus run free will guarantee mutations, which are only going to get more resistant as it goes on. Being deadly isn't the whole picture, especially with coronaviruses. It's why SARS and MERS were considered such major threats despite being not very deadly.

A lot of articles I've seen, and places like wikipedia, make it clear that it can be used for people. Part of the reason for it being talked about as 'exclusively horse dewormer' is that people who want to take it instead of being vaccinated don't have a parasitic infection, so they can't get a prescription for it. Instead, they might visit a vet or find someone who owns cattle or horses to share / buy some off them. I've heard a few anecdotal cases that some GPs are giving people human dosed prescriptions anyway, since it's better than death by accidental overdose.
