People will have to accept reality that we won't ever return to 3%. If sellers must sell, home prices will have to decline, and lower evaluations will follow. Sure I'm not alone in my chain of thoughts, I look towards the stock market to fuel my FIRE goal at this point.

I know you have released this advice a couple of other times but just wanted to say thank you for some of the things that you said, I was able to get a house in October after freezing my credit for about 8 months, paying down some debt and putting $20,000 in the savings. "oh stop complaining, you'd have money if you just worked 60+ hours a week" -Brainwashed Americans born into higher middle/high class families. Ah yes, the American dream. Working so much you don't even have time to actually live in the house you got or enjoy anything really. People are really so blind to the fact that 70% of Americans are one lost paycheck away from losing their apartment while people with money like these people buy 7 houses in 4 different states.

As someone who just bought his first house, this is very solid advice. The only thing I would add is: pay down as much of your debt as possible. I will say it wasnt to difficult buying the house. If I was able to do it most people can. I don't have the greatest credit or credit history. Low debt and steady job were more important.
@hc16162 ай бұрын
Solid advice for sure . Lower credit utilization and good employment history will have banks sending you offers for loans not the other way around
