This was when Hey Hey was on mornings and was a lot more laid back, I wish we had a Saturday morning show kind of like this again.

Everyone was more laid back in the 1980s particularly after a heavy Friday session🍻🍻. Nudge nudge wink wink.

I could be brought back right here on KZbin and then this will allow or pressure 9 or another network to broadcast it, maybe even Netflix for Australian audiences! Need to see if Darryl can do it 🙏🏾

This show would never work today. They can’t be free and open with their humour today as they did back then and entertainment is expected to be more elaborate today. Plus Hey Hey was very racist. You should watch more clips and you’ll notice.
@davidcarrol11010 ай бұрын
There was an evening version in the '80s that was far more adult orientated with innuendo and end of the pier humour. The racist sketches were very much of their time and should stay in the past.

Google has closed down everything all the TV all the Australian movies all small business all the entertainers that used to make a living all gone all the circuses gone all the carnivals gone all so that Google can have a Monopoly on all entertainment and that's exactly what we've allowed them to do.

Unfortunately Australians basically gave Australian entertainment the big middle finger and said we'd rather be entertained by Google, meaning everything had to be closed . The show was based on live entertainment and that was all closed down so everybody had no choice but to use Google products . If only people realised what they we're doing before they allowed computers to take over our life
@John.0z9 ай бұрын
@@James-kv6kb Just dumping it on Google is a bit simplistic; but in general your comment about abandoning live shows holds. "Reality" shows are not worth the minimal effort taken to create them.
@James-kv6kb9 ай бұрын
@@John.0z ok I work as a live entertainer for 30 years but had to stop because I simply couldn't advertise . That's Google's first trick wiping out small business so there's no competition and all your money is spent with the Americans not in the local community. The yellow pages made so much money for small business so they wiped that out and so we can't advertise and all the money is going to the big boys. So instead of putting one add into the yellow pages I now need to monitor sites I need to keep making sure that I'm giving Google more and more money because my competitor is giving them more and more money and eventually people go broke. There is also the interesting phenomenon of adults that in 20 years are now acting like 10-year-old children in my day if adults wore hoodies with cartoon characters on them and owned toys, it's likely they had a mental illness lol but Google is promoting the whole be like children so that people will buy products from China who is paying Google to advertise for them. And let's not forget the insidious group thing it started out, join a car group or join a knitting group which is morphed into this Nazi style hatred of left and right and everybody has to be in a group which is fantastic for Google because all that arguing is creating content that they can sell . And I know this is lengthy but it is needed to be said what about the circuses for instance not doing anything wrong every night thousands of people were going to watch the shows but because the media never got involved they were able to say it's old fashioned and that they were cruel to the animals which was all lies and basically they were all wiped out again so Google can have a Monopoly on entertainment. It's obvious they paid off the TV stations to stop making content or why would such popular shows be taken off the air? Hey hey was an advertisers wet dream in terms of the amount of people watching. I believe Google and all associated companies are worse than Hitler they have already devastated the world, and people need to wake up and see what's going On and what we've lost

We basically told Australian television to F off because we were so excited about social media and getting attention on line but they can't be spending 50 grand a week to put shows like this on if they're not getting the advertising revenue so now any entertainment has to go through the Americans .
