The best part about WRickWrites is that he comes up with some AMAZING one shots. The worst part about wrickwrites is that I don’t want them to be one shots 😢

Lol, Ramey Base in Puerto Rico hasn't been a base in a long time! The tales I've been told about what is underground there are fantastic. I happen to live not far from there. I mean everyone is Puerto Rico lives "near" the Ramey base if you consider that its only 2-3 hours drive from any point on the island. I wonder how much in this tale might be true, or rather the tales it took inspiration from. A thought comes to mind. Imagine if the saucer occupants that crashed on Earth were also testing the saucer after having found it themselves, after they found it on their planet.

From some of the context in the story I get the impression that this story was first conceived at least in some part about 20 years ago. The author says the protagonist can imagine the scientist he is speaking to doing LSD at Berkley "40 years ago" which is more of a '60s hippy counter culture trope than an '80s trope.

Change the B-29 to a B-25. They were operating out of the Aleutians. In fact, they had a big medical facility complete with an ophthalmologist. He was an optical Aleutian.
