This partner is fun! He looks at things from unexpected angles and is not scared to suggest radical different ideas. The house inside looks 1 million times better. The front could have done with a bit more colour.

The problem with those hoarders is that they never dealt with resolving that problem and then they'll continue that bad habit into another property.

Their minds are controlled by entities and until they're cleansed off these culprits they will never change. FYI I was one, from mr perfect spotless home to upside down trash filled room, luckily my family took action and had me cleansed.

It was mentioned that this property was a probate court sale. I think that means it’s the house of a deceased person so, in this case, there’s probably not a hoarder moving to another house.

I remember seeing this one. Robert was like a dog with two tails, eager to do all sorts of [expensive] things. The blue on the island is the wrong shade: it should have matched that in the tiled splashback, but it is a waste of space because the living area is so small.

1. The partner was great! He knew where to lean on Tarek's professional opinion, but also pushed to put his own stamp on it too. 2. I'd give the stagers a 6/10. There was too much in the home, especially all the fake plants and nightstands. 3. One thing Tarek does that Christina did is paint the exterior white with darker trim, which tends to look blah and boring. The vast majority of homes look better the other way around - white trim with a darker body. 3. I was hoping they'd add a second bathroom. That saved this house. 4. Just clearing out the hoard was a massive improvement. I wish we knew how much it sold for. No doubt they made some money.

Hoarding is a serious psychological problem that is just seen as someone who is lazy or can't let anything go. When it is so much more than that. It's sad that someone had their family living like that for so long. I like Tarek's friend he went in this house flipping thing. He's just so fun natured!
@TTNBear
@TTNBear 2 жыл бұрын
With hoarder houses, they should do a real estate sale Or set a free yard sale sign and have people come in and pick up those stuff off them! People go through similar stuff at the Goodwill bins. Some of those stuff could even be sold at swap meets!
@comealongcomealong4480

@Thanh Nguyen You're right about recycling all the hoarded goods. But, when they're flipping, time is absolutely money 💵. It's better business to have the home emptied out fast, so they can see the condition of the structure. Also, there would be health and safety liability issues having people pick through the goods. We can only hope that the garbage clean up company do some sorting at least, and salvage, sell or donate what they can. We all know it's not right when it all goes to landfill. It's just - who in the Waste Recycle Chain ♻ can give the time to sorting and cleaning the goods ? That costs time and money - who can do that work for a profit ??

@conny Catlady Agree! The probate sales agent got the best price for the vendor by NOT letting them inspect, and forcing them to purchase on the day. To step into that house, knowing you were committed for $200k each, was super frightening. Their builder/contractor did an excellent job with the wall removals, load bearing beam, electrical and plumbing relays. This is the first Tariq video I've laughed out loud to - giving in to the heated floor. I'd love to know what this home sold for.

My grandparents had heated floors in a bedroom over a garage and a house in Kansas in the 60s it was the neatest thing to run around barefooted on that floor as a child in winter. Not sure you’d really get your moneys worth in southern California but in the Midwest they are amazing

There is no law prohibiting buyers from seeing the property. This condition of sale was required by the sellers of the house. I suspect the sellers demanded this condition so a potential purchaser could not try to negotiate on the asking price. Considering the condition of the property, the sellers obviously felt no one would purchase it if they saw the overwhelming amount of hoarded belongings. Very underhanded to say the least.
@knightshade6232
@knightshade6232 2 жыл бұрын
thanks man, still it does not sound justifiable, it's like a scam... as a buyer I must know everything about stuff that I wanna buy & its condition, maybe with just a little sales talk, we can even work on common middle ground.
