I'm also a hgv tipper walking floor driver, I get this all the time mate I know your pain, if it's a really long lane too long to walk to check, my rule of thumb is check the hight of the trees on the roof of ya cab if its high go for it, some1 else already gone down that track in a truck and gone through the pain for ya hahaha

Hi Dean,,, I would ask your company to ask that firm to send out a spotter for you so you don't meet half way,,, sort of close the road for 5 min till you get out or in... I would dread to think what would happen meeting another truck half way,,, All makes for an exciting day tho.Or you could of been trundling down the M6 on your way to Martlands,,, at least you was in the countryside.

Bloody hell mate, it reminded me of when I used to go round these type of roads in a car and that was tight, but even tighter for you in your truck, but you had some advantage of been higher up in your vehicle,but god help you if another truck was coming towards you, which one of you would give way and back up ?

That road ain't for hgv no way you think they would clear the trees etc to make it easier for the drivers
