Fair play to the house owners for being so patient and understanding as a driver myself when your in that kind of trouble it can be very stressful , but if you are surrounded by kind people it sure helps alot .

Thanks for watching and leaving a comment. It pays to watch out for the road signs and avoid the problem plus the stress. Cheers Michael

Ah, no. Stress. I drive an artic. Hate when I have to go down lanes. I know what the sign means though. Wouldn't be going up that lane. Nice that you're not getting angry at the driver. Great video 👍

Well you have told me about lorries on that hill and now I've seen it through your video. I am amazed the recovery chaps were able to get him out of there. I know that I wouldn't want to take my pick-up truck on that road. Regards, David.

In one way I am pleased I was able to back up my story but I did actually feel sorry for the driver. You may have heard that there is a shortage of HGV drivers in the UK and I think some of the blame must go to the employer who evidently hadn't made sure his drivers were 'up to speed' with the signs. Having said that the particular sign has been around for a few years now. Regards Michael

I think the poor chap was rather committed by the time he got to your house lol

You are quite right. It was either that or a 2 mile reverse along those lanes. Not on. He should have taken note of the sign. Thanks for watching. Michael

I think some Lorry drivers think they can go anywhere, that probably cost his company hundreds of pounds. If he doesn't know what some road signs mean then he should retake his HGV test! Entertaining video as always.

Thank you Jeremy. I was amazed when he said he didn't know what the sign meant. I also have to wonder if the shortage of HGV drivers has something to do with it. Company desperate for drivers, takes on someone without checking him properly and that is the result. Regards Michael

@@michaelchartres HI Michael Yes that could be right, this thing does happen a lot though and some drivers blame it on SatNav's taking the wrong way! Kindest regards and Happy Birthday to you when it comes.

Hi Michael. Great video why do people not listern when you tell them they won't get round, still it made great viewing for us the recovery men did a great job of getting him round. Regards George.

Thanks for watching George. Actually it was an impossible situation for the driver. He would never have been able to reverse the two miles so was committed to going on down. Shame and I did feel for him. Regards Michael

The thing is by the time he got into the tigbt lane there was no where to turn every one makes mistakes . Ive made a gd few myself . One of the worse things is these sat navs never trust these thing jn the country as they can and do lead lgv drivers into all kinds of bother . Why didnt the driver not understand the sign at the top of the lane . ...
@michaelchartres Жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching and your comment. I cannot understand why he didn't understand the sign which is in clear sight and in a place where you can easily turn. I felt sorry for him in spite of his foolishness. Cheers Michael

fascinating - what a waste of time and effort for the driver and the recovery vehicle - oh well!

Thanks for your comment. Although the driver was a bit stupid not to know what the sign meant I felt sorry for him. He was a nice chap but I expect he was in trouble with his boss. The recovery company must have made a pretty penny for the work. Cheers Michael

I must admit I had not heard that one before. It was either what he did or a 2 mile reverse with that trailer back along those lanes!!!! I don't think so. Regards Michael

It is to tell lorry drivers with sat nav that if the sat nav sends them that way it wrong and lorry's wont get through .
