It's really cool to see someone with your background in photography and filmmaking entering the space. It sounds like you have some interesting plans to blend your photography and filmaking skills with your love for books, which could definitely set your channel apart. Welcome to booktube 😊 I love seeing creative people on here, you’ll do great. I’m also with you on the learning/silly of reading! 😅 Those are my main goals , grow as a person and have fun. And the therapeutic element. You raise a lot of good points 😊 I’m pretty new here as well, but as for your question on advice; I would say decide to make 10 videos to start with, no matter what. Just make them, and see how you feel afterwards, don’t think about motivation until then 😅 My guess is you’ll find lots of people to connect with, find your groove, your channel will grow and then you can reassess. I would also encourage you to keep a reminder somewhere that it’s for FUN, because it’s so easy to start obsessing about the numbers, and that doesn’t serve you. And you’re not alone in social anxiety either, but the booktube community is really nice and encouraging and for me it has been a boost in confidence, not so much because of what other people say, but just seeing myself do the thing, you know? Working through the fear is powerful stuff. Here I go with my never ending comments again, jeez… I look forward to seeing more from your channel! 😊

Also yes working through fear is powerful stuff, it always feels so transformative and rewarding, especially when dealing with social anxiety!
