Did you have to lower the peak rev limit, to not over spin the rotrex blower
@B__L6 жыл бұрын
That sort of defeats the point of putting a smaller pulley on the car
@weasel816 жыл бұрын
R. elentless the rotrex blowers can only spin so fast. I have a kraftwerks 8th Gen si, and I if I wanted to increase boost by adding a smaller pulley I need to lower my redline too keep the blower together. There is a rotrex calculator online to see peak blower speeds. Facts.
@B__L6 жыл бұрын
@@weasel81 I understand but what would be the point of that? You'd just end up with a low revving torquey engine that makes the same peak horsepower and is less reliable because you're running more boost

What's the weak link after 300hp? Rods?
@I-didnt-ask-you Жыл бұрын
@@freddyflirt15 rods are the weakest part of these engines. Especially with high low end torque. Up higher in the RPMs the rods take boost better. You can generally push towards 350 hp and above depending on fuel quality, and tune or if using say high Ethanol content fuel.
