I own some fairly expensive pistols, but I've always been a fan of Hi-Point's C9 line of pistols. I don't mind the ungainly looks. These things just work. And with the captive barrel they're also pretty accurate. My Hi-Point .45ACP shoots better than any of my beloved 1911s.

I like any firearm with a blow back design and at the most if not all of them are very accurate. I've seen multiple videos of people doing horrible drastic test to Hi point that they will never do to any gun that's more expensive. There will always be critics that will speak down about the Hi Point saying they rather buy a more expensive gun like a Sig or whatever, I say to those, more power to you because opinions are like buttholes and everybody got one and this firearm may not be for you so take your opinion to your Sig website or channel because I'm sure everyone that likes the Hi Point really don't care or give a rats ass on what you think about the Hi Point. I stand behind it because it's American made and I try to stand behind anything that still made in America no matter what anybody say.
@DarkMatterX13 жыл бұрын
I'm as firm a believer and staunch a supporter of the 2A as you'll ever find. Hi-points are exactly what they are. A budget solution to a universal question. How do I defend myself? Even poor people have the right to defend themselves. The same people espousing catchphrases like "a gun in the hand beats a cop on the phone" or "If only they'd have had a gun _x_ wouldn't have happened" are the sane people that will take a massive dump on somebody for having a Hi-Point. Maybe it's what they could afford right now. Who cares. At least they're defending themselves. I used to defend Hi-Points, but said I'd never own one. Then I saw Matt at Demolition Ranch do a Hi-Point torture test. Run of the mill stuff first. Threw it in a river. Filled it with dirt and pond scum. Ran it over with his truck. Damn thing kept on truckin'. But I'd seen all this stuff before. Then he did something I'd never seen before. He shot it. He shot the Hi-Point. With a 9mil or a .40, I don't remember off the top if my head. The bullet struck the slide just in front of the ejection port, and did some damage to the chamber as well. Matt futzed with it some, but thought it was dead. After _hammering it against a rock_ for a bit, he finally got the action working again. So he loads it up. Chambers a round. Pulls the trigger. *_BANG._* Again. Then the thing was runnin' again _like nothin' ever happened to it._ They're ugly. They're cheap. They can double as a boat anchor. If you run out of ammo you can use 'em to beat your enemies to death. But you know what else? Evidently they're freakin' indestructible. It was right then and there I changed my mind and decided *_I was going to get a Hi-Point._* I don't have one yet, just haven't gotten around to it. I will though. Probably this summer. It's gonna be my apocalypse gun.

You and the rest of the world. Who requires a rollout pin to clean your weapon? Only hi point. My Sccy and G2 are so much easier to clean. I gotta admit, I kinda like the way the slide on the c9 feels, but all together it is what it is, something cheap that launches bullets out the end for under $250 bucks. Cant beat the price.

@@HardWhereHero Im new to these things myself and while I love to jump on the "really guys!?" train; I'm starting to appreciate what they have accomplished. Ken here. I'm only about 25 miles N of you here in Willard. I have had several of your guns through the years and had to sell them because of financial reasons and regret having had to do it. I had one of the earliest 9mms, the js 9. until recently i didnt know there was an earlier one called the maverick whose name you had to change because of a claim by mossberg. I am constantly defending hi points from haters. Most of the hate comes from those that have never fired one and I find that ironic. To be honest i had some problems with jamming from some of the earlier ones but about 20 years ago something clicked and alot of those problems went away. I say the beauty of this gun is in the simplicity of it. There's no way Id ever try to totally break it down like you have here but I have removed slides and cleaned them. A question, seeing as how id never break it down this far but still want to keep everything clean on the parts I wont disassemble, would it be a bad idea to spray some manner of solvent into it and blow it out with canned air? I will get a new c9 next month

My very expensive barreta on the other hand I cant trust if it will go pew pew at any time,,, I have had failure to feed issuses, failure to eject all the time unless I have a particular bullet weight and style which are extremely expensive... If my Hi-point wasnt so heavy, I would carry it all the time... The thing is indestructible..
