It still stuns to see all of this. Growing up in Sacramento, you only saw the houseless downtown in an isolated area. You could go to the river and no one was living there. Housing is way too expensive and the qualifications to get in are often impossible for those who have been outside. I have made peace with the fact I will never be housed again. Every effort to rejoin society fails. I just try to get through today.
