This is a good espresso machine for the price. It would be even better if it used Thermojet like the Bambino plus and a metal group. I expected this change from the new model.

I'm also expecting a better metal brew head. The thermoblock in this machine is fine, it takes about 30 seconds to heat up. I have the Breville Barista Pro, which uses a thermojet. Even though they say it heats up in 3 seconds, I let it sit a bit longer for a higher and more stable brew temperature.

Thanks for this review. I have my had my eye on this machine for a while now. Looks like a good option, now that it is released. I do have a question. How durable is the mounting of the shower screen to the grouphead, being that the grouphead is plastic. Does it seem like the screw will not be able to strip out? Is the screw hole reinforced? I could not quite tell from your gasket replacement video of the previous model.

Does the silicone gasket is universal 58mm size? Have problem with my Dedica. After changing the original silicone gasket, the water leaking problem still can not be solved.

@@ronaldmcwhatnow9744 Kinda solved it. Bought a new one. Seems like almost the same fit with the previous one that I bought before but relatively better. But saw a tips where you start the brewing, but just after a first drop you stop brewing. Let a few second and then start again. Prefereably if you hold the brewing button to gain your targetted yield manually. Hope this helps you.

That really depends on whether you need those extra features. The main differences are the addition of a solenoid valve, new pressure settings (with 3 levels), and a redesigned drip tray with better accessories. The used puck in the H10A tends to be wet, and won't release the pressure after brewing so you have to wait a bit before unlocking the portafilter. You'll also need to clean the drip tray more often compared to the H10 Plus. But if that doesn’t bother you, the H10A works just as well as the H10 Plus. Hope this helps.

@@bensonfabonan I’m not sure how to measure it. But it’s not easy to find another option at this price with similar features (PID, solenoid, 58mm, pre-infusion, and lots of other customizations). Of course, if you don’t need the solenoid valve, the H10A offers better value for the money.

What is your setting steam temperature? for milk steaming

I use the lowest temperature, 125C degrees. If you use a higher temperature, it will heat the milk faster. You need time to get a good cream, so we keep the milk in the fridge.

I have had the Hibrew10 for some time now. I find the flow rate too fast. No matter how fine I grind. I have the new Hibrew Grinder. I use a nonpressurised basket with 18gm. Any suggestions welcomed.

Try another grinder? I currently use a Hario slim handgrinder, and when i grind my beans at the finest setting, and tamp correctly, almost no water comes through, pressure goes up into red, and i basically choke the machine. So i suspect that your grinder cannot grind fine enough?

I had the same problem with my h10b and now I have another one. So the machine produces around 12-13 bars which is too much for smaller portions. So you can change that by altering the opv. There are videos on KZbin how to do it. So that worked, but it completely destroyed the volumes. What happens is when you choose 50ml for a double cup and the opv regulates the pressure to 9 bar, it puts back some water in the tank. But that's not compensated by the pump, that means 50ml can be 50, 40 or even less. In practice I changed it to 150ml and used a scale to weight my output from there on. No other option. Still, im actually happy with this compromise since I have a pretty good and steady 9 bar for my shot and they definitely take a little longer

This is an entry-level machine, and it's pretty good for its price range. However, compared to high-end machines, the stability and extraction quality aren't really on the same level. For home use, making some milk-based drinks or an Americano, it's more than enough.

If you care more about user experience and the budget allows, the H10 Plus is definitely a better choice. The solenoid valve and better drip tray make the machine much more convenient, but the main improvements are in workflow and user experience. Most features are similar to the H10A, including the internal structure. The extra pressure options add flexibility but don’t make a huge difference in shot quality. If shot quality is your main focus, the price difference may not be worth it. I’d recommend using the H10A. Save the money and invest in a better grinder, which you can continue using if you upgrade your machine later.
