I was watching on the TV and just knew the fans were going to go as soon as the whistle went. Could feel the joy even through the screen. Hibs fans wrecked my pub back in the day, so don't assume I'm a Hibee, but even with that I couldn't begrudge them this win. What I can begrudge is the Rangers fans' response and the media commentators. Hibs fans; pure joy, celebration, share with the team. Rangers fans had no business on that pitch but they went on... to fight, to hurt, because they hate to lose. And if they can't win by playing the game, they'll at least salvage what passes for their pride by throwing punches and claiming the other side started it. We see through you. Every time. Have a good season, if you come to play football. If all you can do is whine, stay at home, if not, see you on the pitch. Remember when the Rangers fans invaded the pitch and trashed Pittodrie in '87 after clinching the title there? Strangely, I don't seem to remember as many people getting on their high horses about that and of course when they invaded at Barcelona and rioted in '72, they were doing good, weren't they? Seem to remember someone claiming they were fighting against General Franco's fascist security forces, or some garbage!

So they battered each other. Just a few additions to your list bud. Oh i nearly forgot. Barcelona 1972. Rangers win. Fans riot. 100's of arrests, even before the game. Hotels wrecked, Camp Nou damaged, 33 police hospitalised. As you said, it's what they do. Not happy until they have bullied and hurt.

@@jimibhoy8935 Also I remember a Newcastle fan telling me about them rioting at St James Park, I think it was at the 1969 Fairs Cup Semi. He said he remembered one pulling a knife on someone. Also there's Dublin in the mid-80's, Birmingham in the mid '70's, Tannadice in the late '70's, Invading at Easter Road in '72 at the Dryborough Cup Semi and attempting to remove the goalposts, before being cleared off at Easter Road in 2005, when they clinched the Title on the last day.

I was a Rangers fan as a young kid (A mum from Govan probably qualifies me better than most!) Converted to Hibs at the end of '72. I'd now support Hearts before Rangers! Can't tell you how glad my mental and [physical ages kept pace with each other, when I was 6 and changed allegiances!

Yes, exactly! Don't they know that only Rangers fans are allowed to behave in this manner? Barcelona in '72, Tannadice in the late 1970's, Hampden in 1980, the attack on Kevin McKee on the pitch at Ibrox early '80s, Pittodrie in '87 on clinching the Title, the attempt on the goalposts at Easter |Road in '05, after clinching the Title there, Manchester in '08 and now this! I reckon Hibs should be paying Rangers substantial royalties for their fans going on the pitch! It is a clear breach of copyright!
