its weird that american society is large is not reflected on YT. Guns sell like hotcakes, everyone (well a majority) have nothing against guns per se.. Its a large group of people with alot of accessible money. Why is YT against that? just look at the gun shows - a thing wholey unique to america. But i guess more and more ad money are coming from partners outside US that have a diffrent view on weapons in general. People in many parts of europe does not have access to guns, so they dont understand them. Yes, europeans can have weapons to but its often harder to get a pistol.. I live in sweden and have 4 pistols and 4 rifles. Rifles are quite common here, pistols less so as they are regulated alot harder. People love shooting and most people afraid of weapons have never held one in their life, so its a irrational fear.

A competitor of theirs named Rumble has taken Google to court for using unethical methods to stay on top of the food chain. This isnt even mentioning the multiple years of unnecessary censorship, demonization, lack of accountability over false claims, and zero customer support. There’s people who abuse the system to send false claims to take down other channels and videos and KZbin hasnt lifted a finger to problem solve any issues on their platform. It’s an embarrassment for a company to sweep these conflicts under the rug as if it’s not a big deal.

Profits control intentions and these advertisers' money drives KZbin's decision, not us. And KZbin is a privately own company, so they can ban anyone for any reason, at anytime. They have the final say what videos are uploaded to their platform. It's their product, their platform that they allow people to use for free.

They collected consumer data through various means. Some of them very illegal. They packaged up that data and sold it to thousands of telemarketing companies. During the last few years that Oingo existed, they were generating fake phishing websites based on Google searches. I noticed that links to their fake phishing pages would always wind up at the very top of Google's search results. I did a little checking and discovered those fake websites were all being hosted on Google's own servers. Not long afterwards, Oingo changed it's name, then was officially acquired by Google. Oingo and Google were always part of the same organization. Google was their attempt to go legit and operate legally. When Google's revenue outpaced Oingo's, they no longer needed Oingo to exist. Instead of scrapping the company, Google absorbed it. The name change was just to try to hide what it was.

Years from now, when KZbin crumbles and is taken over by other platforms, people will debate how it happened. How could the largest video platform be reduced to nothing. The answer to this seems SO clear to KZbin viewers ... but somehow a mystery to those in charge at KZbin.

@@GunzNGrit1911 it's the truth. The folks running Google and by extension KZbin didn't grow up rating their favorite DIY creator's videos five stars back in the mid 2000s. There's no nostalgia or passion for them to lose when it goes under. Sadly lots of other companies and sites are falling in this manner as well. A lot of these sites were made to just be simple, wholesome additions to the day-to-day; and sadly we're in a world where anything long-lived has to be making certain folks a lot of money.
