I taught Maris Valainis for two years at Bishop Chatard in Indianapolis. He was only about 5'6" in high school. He was an all-state golfer, but ironically, never played basketball. He was a great kid, and it was so much fun to see him in Hoosiers.

Do you not realize that people like actors and the work they do? That would be like if you expected no one to care for Chris Hemsworth because he isn't actually Thor, God of Thunder. Gene Hackman is 94. Saw a picture of him and one of Clint Eastwood recently. Both look like they are near the end.

Sad that the crowd barely recognized them with applause. But if the average person in the arena was under thirty, they were staring at their cell dumb phone or texting in a group chat "I'm watching the team from the movie Hoosiers." Friends responding "What movie?"
