What an absolutely beautiful car, I'll just bet that it can tell a few stories! Remoulds, hahaha, I haven't seen them on a car since my Austin Maxi (when those cars weren't TOO unfashionable, btw ...) 😁

The Olympia is a real gem. It’s both sad and amazing to find it hidden deep in a forest. Austin Maxi - blast from the past there.

@@glendaandthepinkwarrig yes indeed, when I happen upon old and abandoned vehicles I always think of how they were obviously in working order to get there. And what was the story as to why it was left there? The Maxi was in excellent condition and a 17th birthday present from my uncle for me to use to pass my test. My mate got a Mk 1 Capri from his wealthy dad 😞

The story with the Olympia was it was used by tree planters in the 50s. It had been brought over from Germany at some point. Ford Capri. My dream car.

The most plausible story I’ve heard is that it was left in the forest in the 1950s by the forest workers who were planting the trees.
