I always pictured Japan as being all about technology, and if you want to live amongst futuristic tech, go live in Japan. But no no no. Japan is most definitely all about food. A food heaven for foodies. 😊😊😊

Tokyo and big cities only though

Visit smaller cities and see how limited everything is haha
@josh-vee3 жыл бұрын
@@myselfme767 Not really. With technology, it's a strange mix, even in the big cities. Even if you just look at Tokyo. In some ways, they are so advanced and high tech, like their toilets and baths, all remote controlled and everything. And robots everywhere. But then, on the other hand, everyone still uses cash. Cards are not often accepted in most stores. They still use cheques widely and fax machines. And rubber stamps, and lots of paper work that we digitized long ago. You can even still buy VCRs and DVDs. It's an odd mix of past and future.

How so? I live in LA, have lived in Hong Kong and traveled to Japan numerous times. The prices are no different than SF, LA, NY, etc. He paid $13 for that sushi roll. That is EXACTLY what you pay in most sushi restaurants in the US. I have also eaten at one of the best steak houses in Kyoto, having a meal that comprised Kumamoto beef, for around $200 for a group of 3. Again, reasonable for what I am eating. Japan may be expensive if you think that Applebees is fine dining.
