Wow Luise!! There is no one i am aware of that has spent this much time and energy to explain in detail so clearly what you have done here ! Do you have any idea what someone in the USA would charge for a class like this?!! And you did it on youtube and ask for nothing! I am so appreciative of this i would like to make a donation to you for what i believe i would have to pay for a class in the USA!! I believe i can do this thru your site? I can't print downloads, so i don't purchase digitals. I think i have made every mistake you mentioned in this video of what not to do !!😂😂😂😂

another informative video...thank-you. i would also like to say you are doing very well with the english language and please do not apologize for you doing you. btw you do you is not exclusive to any one person. i have heard that term many many years ago long before i even knew who Tim Holtz was in fact I did not know much about him until I heard you speak of him. sure i knew the brand but as far as his videos i did not know until you mentioned them. I was so happy when you became one of the makers using the products. i do not think you need to apologize for saying you do you either....keep doing what you do and your generosity with your time and skill is greatly appreciated.

Luise, you make the best videos! I love listening to you - to the English speaker a German accent is so charming - and your English is very good! If only I could speak a second language as proficiently as you do! I admire you so much and am so happy for all your success. Thank you for all the great content! I am buying you a coffee too! OMG: as I continued to listen, I heard the "You do you" comment. How ridiculous people can be! He doesn't own those words, nor any other phrases. These are commonly used in English conversation. All influencers can have comments they like to make, but that does not mean it belongs to them unless it is something specific to a product they have copyrighted. Don't pay attention to anyone who criticizes you, you have never done anything at all wrong!

1:22:53 Luise don’t listen to these ppl. “You do you” was said by my art professor in college before Tim Holtz was around. I belong to many artistic communities and the beauty community and ppl who don’t know who Tim is, say it all the time. I am in Canada, and it was heard often enough during the 90s. He did not coin this phrase he just says it often. Sorry naysayers, policing speech is already a govt issue, we don’t need it in the art or JJ community. Say it all you want Luise :) This COVER, is one of the most attractive combinations for mixed media I have seen that I feel I must make my own version of. I don’t have much Tim’s stuff it’s so HARD to find it’s crazy. They don’t supply Canada except a few Oxides and alcohol ink at Michaels that’s it. Amazon is terrible for Canada. Sigh. I will go back to that video where you make it to see what I need.

Wow. I hope somebody has already commented on this since it was posted so long ago. "You do you," is a very common expression that you used absolutely correctly. Tim Holtz didn't coin the phrase or trademark it. That's just weird. You're more fluent in English than a lot of native speakers. I wish I was so gifted with language and brave enough to practice more. Vielen Dank für die Videos.

Thank you for this video. It's so nice to have you go into such detail. I've tried this and made a couple of mistakes. I didn't make my fabric for the spine piece wide enough. I left a little too much space between two of the signatures, but I think that I just figerout what to do. I'm making a smill signatur to fit in that space. It works perfectly. I'll sew it and glue it in. Yeah !! Don't laugh !! I did mine all wrong, but the next time I'll do it the right way like yours. 😂😂 OMG. I can't believe that people got all over you for saying " You do you" We all say that now. Those people need to get a life and leave yours alone !!!

Great work, when you want to have the fabric straight it's called the bias. When I do the template for the signatures I take 3.5 cm your total width and find 1/2 equals 1.75 cm, this is the middle. Next subtract 1 cm for left (first) signature, so it would be at .75 cm. Middle signature is at 1.75 cm. The right (last) add 1 cm then it would be at 2.75 cm. The distance from each outside signature is .25 cm. to the cover. Hope that works. You are an awesome teacher and you have such a grat talent!

Very nicely done Luise! I love your determination and passion to introduce others into the nuts and bolts of Junk Journalling and just sharing the love! I would be grateful to learn what more questions could possibly be asked at this point? You were so through and detailed. I might make a suggestion with kindness and care, please count how many times you say "meaning". I'm sure it's a lot! I don't think you have to make the connections like you are calculating a math problem or that you must prove what you are saying is true somehow. Just make statements and end them with a period. Then the next sentence. I don't feel you have to say "Sentence 1, meaning Sentence 2, meaning Sentences 3, meaning Sentence 4." I think you are using the word "meaning" in the same way you were using "relative to" before. The irony is that it is a filler word that you don't need to convey the meaning of what you are saying! Also, I don't mind at all if you say "you do you" or "don't freak your freak." All those Tim Holzisms are cute to say, meaning don't freak your freak when you do you! LOL ❤

Thank you Luise for your class! It is amazing and greatly appreciated. I love your work and it inspires me and feeds my grunge addiction... LOL Please know that the phrase "you do you" is not just a Tim Holtz quote and has been used for a long time before he started saying it and years before he became an craft world icon. I have been out of college for a very very long time and my art professors frequently said that same thing. It is okay for you to use that term and to use it as often as you like. It is a reminder that as artists we need to do our own thing and that your work is only meant to be inspiration!
