All 14 chapters of Tobit was also found in Aramaic in the Dead Sea Scrolls. Additionally Tobit and Judith were translated from Aramaic copies by St. Jerome in 407 in Bethlehem hence why there are textual differences between the Latin Vulgate and Greek Septuagint.

@@Seekandtune First answer me which Jews? You had the Sadduccees which only accepted the Torah. There were multiple sects of Pharisees which debated on Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, Song of Songs & Ezekiel. The Essenes had Tobit, Ben Sira & Baruch. None of these groups accepted the book of Esther. Lastly Hellenistic Jews had a diverse cannon with most accepting Tobit & Judith. There was zero concensus in the Jewish community before the time of Christ. The Babylonian Talmud also admits that they removed books from their cannon including Ben Sira. The Catholic Church has documented that at the council of Rome 382 that they affirmed the Deuterocannonical books as scripture and all were quoted in the second Christian century between 200 - 300 AD. Anyone rejecting these books is basing their cannon off a later Jewish concensus after 500 AD.

The Deuterocanon is cited within the New Testament extensively. Having read it I say Jesus does speak through these seven books.

@@JC_Forum_of_Christ Wisdom 2:12 - 20 and Baruch 3:29 - 37 are Christ prophecies. Tobit 12:8 is expounded on by Jesus in Matthew 6:1-20. The double blessing in Judith 15 draws parallels with the blessing Elizabeth inspired by the Holy Spirit gave to Mary. The Book of Ben Sira finishes what Psalms & Proverbs started completing the trilogy of instructions by YHWH God through the Holy Spirit to his followers. 1 & 2 Maccabees give us the final history on what was occurring in Israel before the coming of Jesus and Hanukkah which is mentioned in John 10:22 which if it wasn't scripture why was Jesus at the temple celebrating Hanukkah? Protestant cannon uses the cannon of false prophet Rabbi Akiva. If you are willing to reject the Deuterocannon, why don't you reject the New Testament like the Rabbis do?
