When I go in to fix/standardize a location, I like to place a comment saying "standardizing location" , that way if anyone else who is following or who comes along, knows why I made a "change" for that person. If there is already a comment listed for that event about why the information is correct, I will place my comment after theirs. That way all comments are still available for those who come along later.

There is another feature on Family Search for you to check out. It may or may not work, although it isn't always accurate so be careful. Anyway, Search your ancestors name and then look to see if there is any family tree info. Make sure it's sourced properly before using it. You can send a message to the content creator and ask them for info. Hope this helps!

Very cool! I always learn something new from your videos! Today, it was your easy way of finding unindexed images. Thanks for that! Just a quick note to say that Ancestry has the 1940 enumeration maps indexed, so you can search by location.

If you want to correct the standardised birth/death place all you have to do is delete the last letter, of the place name, retype it and click in the grey area below. The place then becomes standardised. The same can be done for dates. This is what I do every time this occurs. Thanks for all your videos. Stay safe.

Good morning Connie! Do you have a video on how to save research on Family Search? I am new to that site, and when adding a new person (no one else has them in their tree) I just write my evidence titles from Ancestry. I don’t know how to “Attach” the real record. Thank you for your assistance in this.

From what I've learned doing a ton of research on this family, there seemed to be a large group of people that migrated right at the end of the Civil War ultimately to Kansas by way of Indiana.
