I found a 1950s steiff bear at the bins last year. Not all have the ear tag. They didn’t use metal during war time is what I learned. There is another brand of bear that is similar to steiff. I would google lens him and do some research to find out exactly what he is. Great find! Most people probably think he is just an old stuffed animal and passed him by! FYI- I sold mine for $220 in 3 days!

Hi there. Those are battery operated candles. They usually take 2 AA batteries. Twist the bottom off from the base and insert. Some of these have timers built in and will stay on up to 8 hours. Enjoy watching you and Roger!

That Fyre purse find made my mouth drop. Great find. As for trophy lamps, I can see them fitting in with the "Dark Academia" aesthetic as well as the dark and moody decor. So yes, I think they are a thing and on trend.

Stiff-el not stifle. And I too am seeing trophy lamps more often. I just sold a pair that had the original shades in my booth (Stiffel from the 60s) for $165.00

Stiffel lamps are great to sell. I have two beautiful Stiffels my mother and I shopped for in the late 60s. They are beautiful and definitely keepers. I would definitely buy the one you found. Trophy lamps are timeless in my opinion.

I picked up a stifle lamp at goodwill one time. It was marked on the metal near the lightbulb. So look up there too. It not always marked on the bottom.

Those wax covered candles should have a screw off bottom where you insert batteries. They also have a built in timer. When you tighten the bottom to turn on the flame that sets the timer.

My Goodwill has a table 3' by 5' that holds the lamps they have for sale. Sometimes when it's really crowded there are 8 or 9 lamps on that table! Stiffel is an excellent lamp company and the their trophy lamps sell for $50.00 and up on resale.

The oval wood plaque is a copy of a Renoir called “Child in White”. I have one but it’s rectangular in a frame. I’ve had it since the early 60’s. Not sure where it came from. I know it wasn’t new when my mom hung it for me in my room.

I love the bins! I'm lucky to have one where people are respectful and don't push you or invade your space too much! Otherwise I think I'd be very overwhelmed. Headphones help too! We all line our carts down the middle so everyone has space. But I know one Goodwill Outlet (another one) around here- anything goes and it's just a madhouse. Not to mention that one starts wheeling away the bins so early you can't really sort!

No French Mirror is not hung upside down, looks like the Laurel leaf design, they always have the most decoration at the top of the mirrors, if you look at any Rococo or French Baroque style, bottoms are very plain normally. That looks like a reproduction, I am French, and from a family of antique dealers. Love the yellow bear❤ He is not a Steiff because his legs are not segmented meaning they are separate and attached separately, Steiff is also stuffed with sawdust at least the old ones are
