One time while playing hide and seek I hid in a dark bathroom. The seeker said the found kids had to help find other hiders, but one of the found kids saw me turned to the seeker and said “nothing here”. When the seeker wasn’t looking he stuck a thumbs up through the door. Best homie ever.

My favourite thing to do when I’m the last one hiding is to sneak out of my really good hiding spot and hide somewhere obvious (like under a table). Then I keep my good place and the seeker’s all confused about why they didn’t find me earlier.

When I was younger I fit myself between the wall and the washer while we played hide and seek. I was a small child and I'm still relatively petite. No one found me. The adults had to ask me to come out of hiding before I did. The adults always chuckled as they watched us play. They would refuse to give out places where everyone hid. They had a fun time keeping an eye on the seeker to make sure they counted, too.

Hid in the washing machine once. Brother couldn't find me for ages, would walk in and out but not see me. Finally saw me, I went to get out. Got stuck. (He wouldn't shut up yelling to my dad about as I and my cousin desperately screamed I was all good.) Wriggled myself out, but I still think about that sometimes. It was hilarious, then and now.

the story about the girl where most of their neighbour looked for her, had the same story as my sister. It was already late and my mom had just gone out to buy me my medicine because I had a fever (I was nine and my sister was 7) and while our mom was gone, I was busy preparing for our bed. Then my mum went back home and she couldn't find my sister, many ppl looked for her and my mom was overthinking that she got kidnapped, it turns out that she was just hiding in our washing machine lol.

I was playing hide and seek with my children. The rule was; any room, as long as you don't break anything or go outside. I found the others really quickly, but then spent an hour and a half searching for my eldest. Couldn't find him anywhere. I was panicking, thinking how ludicrous this was going to sound to the police when I called them. I went to the phone and had dialled the first two digits... But I stopped when I heard snoring coming from under the Welsh Dresser.

The first story about the bees chasing the kid reminds me of my friend's story. He saw a bee nest and decides to burn it, so the whole horde came chasing after him. The thing is, the bees came out of their burning nest... with fire on them. So the fire spread along the cloud of bees as it were chasing my friend, and by the time my friend reaches the gates of his house, he turns and saw the one last bee that was on fire drops down beside his shoe. There was a trail of dead bees behind him.

When my son was young, he would hide in the circular racks as well. Then he would pop out to say boo to anyone who walked past. Well. One day we were in a mall, and we decided to pick up some photos. My son was playing beside me in line. I was next up, and my son didn't move with me as we stepped up. I could hear him as I asked for my photos. He went silent as I payed, and I knew there was a circular rack behind us......Well.....He wasn't in the rack....But there was a McDonalds in the store (a walmart attached to a mall) & we were going to get food there after the photos...I thought he went there...No....I checked all the places he liked....No kid....I flagged down a worker & put out a mall wide announcement to find him. Turns out the entire time I was panicking, he had walked out of the walmart & went into a dollar store. He was so well behaved & quiet that the employees thought his parent was with him. Till the announcement. They brought him to me. I bought a child leash that attaches to a fanny-pack that day. He was only two and a half.

When I was a kid, my family and I lived in Fairview , a suburb of Portland Oregon, we would play hide n seek in the dark usually until around 11pm (in the summer).. and even though during this time there was a fever pitch among parents in those days about kids being abducted and PSA's asking parents, "It's 10 o'clock, do you know where you kid is at?" we kept it on our block. Had a few run in's with a couple of creepers every now and then, but there was always more than just my cousins and my siblings (6) we usually had around 5 or 6 extra kids... my oldest sister carried a knife, oldest cousin he carried a switch blade and one of his friends had brass knuckles (they were older teenagers) so we were pretty safe even for Portland 90-96

my older brother and i were both evil children that would hide in the circle clothing racks at around preschool ages in stores, he would always end up giggling and so my mom would fine him quickly enough, years later i would hide and be silent not even coming out of there when called; one time she found me asleep waiting for her, i didn't get a store locked down but i was very restricted in my wandering afterwards. We never played it off as hide and seek because we never hid anywhere other than in the clothes racks, so it was more of "we go here as we are bored and mom gets us when she done with boring thing." kids logic.

I’m in highschool and on Halloween me and a group of friends decided to play hide and seek and my friend hid in a 50 foot tree and got stuck and we couldn’t tell anyone cause we were gonna get introuble so he had to shimmy down with a big rope we got up to him and he had cuts and scratches everywhere. I work at a school, mainly with after school care for kids age 6-10 when their parents work or study. One afternoon when a mum came to pick up her son he was nowhere to be seen. We all panicked and went searching for him around the school. We asked his friend who he had been playing with but he said he didn't know where he was. After a lot of shouting his name he finally emerged from a cupboard! He said he had heard us calling his name but he and his friend (who we had asked just before) had been playing hide and seek so that's why he didn't come out. When we asked his friend about why he didn't say anything he just shrugged and said he thought they had stopped playing. Those two were not allowed to play hide and seek for a good while afterwards!

Not necessarily a hide and seek story but, I went with my mum and sister to the store once and we were looking at one of those cardboard back to school shelves that had stuff like pens and erasers in it, me and my sister walk to the other side of it (the shelf is only slightly taller than 5feet and quite thin) after a while we realise our names were being called on the speaker in the store, we think "Oh it can't be us" after they said our name two more times we go over to customer service to see what the issue is, my mom didn't know where we were. Yup she decided that after she couldn't see us anymore instead of calling our names or looking around, she should go straight to customer service. I was pissed that day because she scolded us for "Hiding in the store" I told her that she should have looked for us and she replied "You shouldn't go anywhere with out telling me first". I'm still annoyed to this day about it :/ Also anytime we played hide and seek we had a code word that we would say if we couldn't find the person or didn't want to play anymore

This isn't my story, but I heard about it, and it was creepy, I can't remember the exact dates, or places, or faces, but I do remember the story, I think this happened in like the colonial times too, and the story became legend, there were some kids who decided to play Hide and Seek one day, at some inn I believe, that their Dad owned, and there were some kids who decided to hide in a trunk somewhere, unfortunately when they hid inside, it locked shut, and they couldn't get out, they suffocated while inside the trunk, and died, I think the Dad felt really awful about it, and really sad. They're supposed to be one of the hauntings to that specific inn, and people have heard children giggling around the area where they died.

I remember one time we were playing la migra "hood version of hide and seek" There was two teams and we were the ones hiding,. It was really hot so me and a partner decided eh we are gonna hide inside my house in the cool air ,. So we were playing video games all while watching the other team running up and down the street. When my older sister was around 5 she was playing hide and seek with my mom at grandpas house. She got the bright idea to walk 1 street over and hide inside an acquaintance's house. She got distracted by the swinget/playground in the front yard so she instead started playing. After not finding my sister for a while, my mom started to get hysterical and told my dad. They both got in the car and started driving around the neighborhood. They eventually found my sister playing on the swings and took her home. My parents still tell us how they always got creepy vibes from the acquaintance, an elderly woman, who lived there. They were convinced that this woman wanted to keep my sister as her own daughter and that if she went in the house that this woman wouldn't have told them about it. My cousin once told me also that she'd play hide n seek with her brothers all the time as kids. One day she saw them hiding under the table and told them they had to find her. She went to the room and saw them watching TV because they got bored of hiding. She looked back and still saw the 2 boys who looked like her brothers hiding under the table, just staring at her. They started to look deformed which made her scream and run crying to her parents. She hated hide and seek after that.

Me, my elder sister and my elder brother always used to play hide and seek as a kid. We used to hide inside trunks where my mom kept the rice, my bro ever climbed up the walls and hid near the ceiling and once we even hid in between a field of rolled wires (we got cuts in many places, nothing serious tho) Once only me and my sister were playing and she was the seeker. Om I remember playing hide and seek with my little sister in a huge clothing store very far away from our house. I think she was 7 and I was 12. She got lost at another aisle and I could hear her crying. As not to make my mom mad, I went to chase after her. And I was a shy kid so I didn't want to call out her name while she keeps getting inches away from my grasp. Finally did I call out to her (quietly), she stopped and I got a hold of her. I remember many years ago when my siblings, a friend of ours and I were playing hide and seek and we had this idea to scare my little sister. (For a bit of context: We had this creepy mask that looks like an old man in a dress up box). This reminds me when I was with my mom and younger sister. We were in a store and I think it had 2 floors. I was walking with my mom when we realized my little sister was missing. I was literally so scared that something happened to her sbjsjsj My mom made us spilt up to look for her. I eventually found her with a toy in her hand by a bin or something with more of the same toy. She really wanted that toy, but I'm pretty sure my mom said no sometime earlier. I didn't think my sister was going to move so I called for my mom and tried to see if I would see her from where I was standing. Luckily there was this worker and she saw me and told my mom. (My mom was close to me, but I couldn't see her ig.) I got so nervous because I hate talking to strangers. It's a funny story to tell, but I remember being so worried,, I was probably around 12, idk?? 😭🖐️

Not a hide and seek story but apparently when I was 7 or 8 I used to sleep walk so bad that once I almost went missing. I sleep walked right out the front door and towards the road. Luckily for me my sister was coming home from somewhere (it was around 12am) and brought me back inside before I got too far (thanks dude😎)

I was playing hide n seek with my sister and 2 boys in my aunts basement and when it was my sisters turn me and the boys started hiding but I decided to go hide under the office and out of nowhere everything collapsed onto me so I was trapped but hey at least I won

when I was a teen or tween,I was at the park with my cousin and aunt,we were playing hide and seek with a little kid named Scout,I hid behind a tree and heard none of them looking for me or calling my name,I either got bored or heard my cousin (who's voice is the only one I hear when far away for whatever reason) but I came out got in trouble,and sent to my room for a bit, this shits happened thrice, is it selective hearing or something?

Hi Ellen I just really needed to vent. This week is getting worse yesterday I almost relapsed. I almost cutt. I didn't but I really wanted to. Today was worse, my best friend Abby who is also my coworker is quitting her job. It really upsets me. Because she's the one person who keeps me sane. And my Grandpa forgot the dog outside. I have one dog I trust and am not afraid of her name is daisy. The one loud noise I can't stand is barking. We looked for her and found her in the garage. My grandpa found it funny and I lost it with him yelled at him saying I didn't find it funny I was about to have a panic attack. I said sorry to him. This week is just really hard

I was once playing hide and seek with my friends in the playground at school when we were like 13 or 14 and since his eyes were covered instead of going off to hid somewhere far away I stood behind him as and followed right behind him as he found everyone except me until he gave up and only then did I walk around him so he could see me and he was so upset at himself 😂😂

I remember one time my brother, sister and I were playing hide and seek. I was the seeker and while I was counting I heard the shower curtain being moved. I faked looking around the house then I got to the bathroom pretending I couldn't find my brother left the room. I came back and turned the water on lol

I remember mum telling me that when we were at the shops I just simply walked off. She looked all over for me until she found me in target asleep in the pillow section. I think I was a toddler when that happened. My sister hid somewhere in our house without telling my mum and she couldn't find her, forgot to say hide and seek. Yeah, hide and seek is kinda band in the house when my parents are around.
