I spawn camped supports, genji's and hanzo's all day yesterday. They weren't happy to say the least. Her 1v1 has win potential has definitely increased at least for me. I also noticed, that many support players are not healing Sombra's, perhaps due to the new mechanics of her being more frontline and they aren't used to it?

As a support main, I have to say, for me is out of fear to reveal Sombras position, sometimes it's too risky to go for the heal. And risk either losing a damage or hack opportunity or having her be insta focused. Normally I only heal sombras with Ana out scope, or some other not so evident heal while the enemy team is close. Add to that, That I feel for the enemy supports and myself when there is a sombra around... thanks trauma XD

I've 1v1 masters and gms I haven't come across a 1v1 top 500 yet, so maybe I can't, iono. I just virus first, shoot while strafing, stop shooting when he's 50% (95% of genjis will deflect at this point and he should still be taking dmg from virus He should be 25% or less health at this point), translocate his dash, throw it up into the air, on the way back down start shooting. Doesn't always work, but I get out alive if it doesn't and re-do all above when he's back in spwn. Ive had more successful attempts than not. @@cool08player

My opinion of the matter if they were to buff sombra (which i think they will based on their past) is that they give her movement back from invis or tp gives a temporary movement buff when using it. Dmg increase on her already bursty kit is already at the tip and any increase would lead to her be opressive and busted.

Virus and soldier rockets have similar speeds too so there's a pretty good reason to rebind if you already have some gay dad experience Also pressing shift bc of old muscle memory to stealth isn't as punishing when it's hack which you can let go and cancel, rather than virus which goes on cd I've talked myself into rebinding lol

Sombra’s kit feels rlly fun to play, but EMP has so little impact now. Feel they should revert EMP to its ow1 version (having it do no dmg and instead be an aoe 7 sec ability lock out) that way she’d at least have impact and utility again.

I feel like if they just tweaked translocator to keep going until it hits something or the floor and then auto teleports, plus give you the option to activate it at anytime it is flying through the air, it would make her feel much smoother and less frantic to play. It just feels like too short of a tp distance by just a tiny bit. That way you keep the ability to chase her as it's still not that far plus you get some agency back with your skills.

I feel like the virus should be a special case for the DoT abilities concerning health packs. Like grabbing some health doesn't cleanse the virus; just heals the damage it did. It feels like it should be a status effect that causes damage over time; like Junker Queen's jagged blade.

i think people just aren't quite used to aiming it on sombra yet; for a long time, sombra players only had to aim primary fire, everything else was just an "aim vaguely in the desired direction" ability, but now half her kit is aim-based.

Wish you could still destroy your translocator before you teleport, or have a way to teleport early. I feel like it lost a lot of nuance in that instance with me (loved throwing it above the enemy team and then just emping the front line without even using it, maybe using it when they forgot about it)

Emp is one of the best initiating ults in the game. While it can be used reactively, it's always been better to use it aggressively and just don't give the enemy team the chance to ult when it matters

It might be bc I have good movement and can dodge virus (my only skill in video games is movement) but idk. I'd like to hear what other support mains of various ranks think. ML says its easier to counter her on support.

I low Diamond/high plat games, but as a LW player she can be somewhat annoying just cause my hitbox is big and supports don't peel it's more up in the air tot he Sombra's skill level. LW has good self sustain but if she gets the hack/vrius combo off its more rough but if she doesn't it's doable. His ult also hard counters her ult (which is lethal with Virus) so he has that for him. Moira also just hard counters her Sombra can't do anything to her lol.

I'm just a gold Sombra main. I've actually been having MORE luck successfully eliminating Mercy now. The virus gives a guaranteed 110 damage which helps offset my poor aim when it comes to tracking a moving Mercy. You just have to hit her with the Virus when she's in between movement.

@@CopShowGuy that's why you never stop moving as mercy. Even if you aren't GAing, you should be moving unpredictably. When playing sombra I've found killing a bad mercy to be easier than it used to be and a good mercy to be harder than it used to be.

Man, watching Fitzy trying to make Sombra work just hurts, even Zen would have no problem dealing with new sombra, her translocator is so telegraphed now, any good player that has a movement ability can easily chase her down just like that, she's like a worst soldier with the ability to hack, and even then it's better to use your virus than hacking moat of the time. The only silver lining to all of this is that I don't main sombra so it doesnt matter to me, just feel bad for sombra mains out there, your character pretty much is the roadhog of dps, unless it's like a dude like cyx using him, you're better off using another dps. 😂
