The then 14 years-old Ayla looks like what James Bond "Vesper Lynd" actress Eva Green must have looked like as a young teenager. Incredible guitar playing from Ayla after having only started playing guitar two years earlier from when the video was recorded.

I'm a guitarist and I learned this song, Hideaway, years ago. It's great to see you as a young guitarist into this stuff from Clapton and Mayall's Bluesbreakers. I always think that younger people don't care about this music and I'm So Glad (oops, a song off a Cream album!) that you care about this music and keep it moving forward. Thanks Ayla, and I really mean it. :)

I wish that I could have played half as good as you when I was 14 years old. You have your whole life ahead of you. You can only get even better and you're already an excellent guitar player. Don't be impatient, get a good education and please stay away from the dark side of being an entertainer. It really kills me when really talented people like Amy Winehouse destroy themselves with drugs and alcohol and other problems.
@VenkateshPattamatta7 жыл бұрын
True that! But Ayla seems like a smart kid and I/we wish all the best for her musical career and education. Natural talent!
@khairilanuarothman38696 жыл бұрын
I'm 60 and first heard this song when I was 14. And here we all are, loving this beautiful child who's actually playing it at 14! With feeling and "look ma, I'm not even looking at the frets". Unlike many guitarists featured in the "7 greatest young guitarists of whatever year it was" and suchlike, Ayla does not succumb to robotic, manic and, in the main, emotionless shredding urges. Her artistry will only get more appealing and I share audiophile man's sentiments absolutely and unreservedly.
@khairilanuarothman38693 жыл бұрын
@Larry Ballard It is, isn't it. I rather enjoy the amusing, but not entirely unfair, observation about her sounding like David Gilmour playing Jimmy Page. Too clean for JP! Perhaps I was too stunned to have noticed on hearing her play. Pity that I can't get into the stuff she puts out with her own band.
@SaintsPurgatory3 жыл бұрын
I think she already has parents to teach her the path. She does not need strange men on the internet trying to take their place.
@audiophileman70473 жыл бұрын
@@SaintsPurgatory You don't know what you're talking about. You really don't. As an 18 year old, Ayla has responded to comments I've left for her and told me that those comments meant the world to her and she appreciated the encouragement I provided to her. I'm only interested in seeing her succeed as a musician, and I don't appreciate you insinuating that I have ulterior motives. Good ideas are good ideas no matter where they come from, and often times teenagers will listen to others more than their parents.
