What’s always impressed me about Jacob Collier is that not only is he an endless source of knowledge for music theory, but he is also incredibly technically proficient with every instrument he touches. Truly a modern master.

He’s an ok guitar player. He’s a superb musician and has a top of the art hearing and musical understanding of vibrations.

I love this SO much. Don't get me wrong, full-on, studio-mode, everything-including-the-kitchen-synth Jacob is great, but I've really wanted to hear what he can do as part of a small, acoustic ensemble and wow, he did not disappoint.

Jacob Collier, Chris Thile and Chris Eldridge... playing one of my favourite songs... together... Either I’m dreaming or Christmas has really come early this year. Thanks for this, guys.

I love every version of this song but I was looking forward to the Live From Here version as soon as I saw it was a thing. I was not disappointed. 😊

This was a delightful surprise on my subscription feed today. Halfway across the world this week in China and had no idea Jacob was on this week. Would've flown to NY to see this!

DubyaDubya131 it’s just a 12-note custom built vocoder. Justin Vernon of Bon Iver has a very similar one.

Poor girl was so lost during the bridge that Jacob had to literally give her that D to get her started. Not judging though, I’d also be uber intimidated to sing along with those two!
