My husband (who is also Alex) hates scary movies and I love them, especially The Conjuring. It was the first movie in a while that actually scared me so of course I made him watch it. I knew the clap scene was coming up and he was completely into the movie by that point. I clapped when they did (right in his ear) and he literally fell to the ground in fetal position! I felt horrible but secretly one of the funniest things I've ever seen 😂

The oldest Perron daughter ended up writing books about what happened in the house. Apparently what really happened was way worse than what happened in the movie. They had to not include everything because the movie would’ve been rated X, but they didn’t want it to be worse than R.

@@blazejecar The actual house is the Perrin Farm, and it really is haunted. There's enough proof of that, the owners just sold it after only 3 years, they had enough of it. Check out Sam&Colby for instance, paranormal investigators who went there twice. And, the Perrin family liked the movie, because it was mostly accurate, but they state (in their book they wrote about it) the movie was downplayed, because the actual events were alot worse.

I got to tell you Alex, your reactions to the scary scene are pure gold. It's going to remain hilarious until you have a heart attack on screen. One last point, there are three Conjuring movies, the two Annabelle movies, the nun and I think some other one that I can't think of right now are all connected in that universe. the conjuring films are AMAZING. IMO there three kinds of horror films: Slasher: this involves a psycho killer or murderer of some kind (examples: Friday the 13th, Halloween, Child's Play) Demonology: these are more about inhuman things and can often be more complex, especially the good ones (examples: The Conjuring, Insidious, Sinister) Psychological: these are the horrors that really mess with your head, the japanese are quite good at these, but there are some from other countries too (The Grudge, The Shining, Rosemary's Baby)

Fun fact...the actual doll was a Raggedy Anne doll which is not scary looking at all. The one in this film was created for the movie it just looks like it can steal your soul with a glimpse. Which obviously is what they wanted!! Great reaction btw I was in tears of laughter the whole time. Thank for taking one for the team! Love your channel. Edit: Also I'm like you and don't do well with these kinds of movies. I watched this with my son who loves horror movies and I scream like you do when I get scared. I dare you to watch The Haunting of Hill House. It's an incredibly well-written show that uses horror to explore grief and mental illness, and it has probably one of the most chilling and shocking twists in the genre. It's also got some pretty cool scares, but focuses more on anticipation and build. There's also a hidden ghost in most of the shots.

Yes, this is based on a 100% true story. The original Annebell doll was a Raggedy Anne doll, and the son of ed and lorriane warren, runs the museum that is connected to the house they lived in, in Connecticut. It can still be visited to this day. Eds office is still full of file cabinets, recordings(audio and video), photographs ect from all the investigations they did through out the years. They would have priests come with holy water and reseal everything in there. You could get a comfy blanket to hold on to, it helps

I watched this movie in the theatre when it came out and ended up leaving with multiple bite marks on my hand (which was my then gf's response to being terrified). I had a blast though despite the wounds. It's definitely one of my all time favorite horror flicks.

lmao dude I have not had such a good laugh in a while. This is one of the scariest demon movies out there for sure. The 2nd one is quite good too. Like this one it is full of good scares but there is one particular scene that you will stay awake over. I love the clap game and the two girls in the room part. The rest is a lot more toned down on the scares. James Wan is so good.

My cousins lived on the corner of a little village in a huge colonial type house with lots of dormers, huge wooden staircases, and surrounded by scraggly trees. When I was little (1-6) and would stay over, I remember in the corner rocking chair of the room I slept in was a 3 foot tall "joker" clown puppet. When you are 5, and staring at that in the dark for several minutes(seems like hours) you swear it moved.......

Everyone has their "hell no" thing that some people enjoy. Cave crawling through small places is mine, but many people love spelunking. During horror movies, I pull myself out by thinking of the cameras and crew or sfx involved in the making. That being said, your squirming and screams make for a great reaction, bro. A tidbit: in Amityville Horror, the soundtrack has a mostly subliminal sound of buzzing bees that puts the audience on edge. Horror film makers know what they're doing. Sweet dreams. Que outro music........ .... ..

I gave this a thumbs up just because you read your Bible at the end, I did not actually watch the entire thing because I don't do horror movies anymore even though I was big into them as a kid seeing movies like Friday the 13th part six+, Nightmare on Elm Streets etc. in theaters. The Warrens lived about an hour from where I live. The museum is still at their house, but is not open currently due to zoning issues. The real Annabelle doll is there as well as the one they used in the movie. The real Annabelle doll is actually a Raggedy Ann doll, but I'm guessing they couldn't use that in the movies due to copyright issues. Also, the case in Long Island mentioned at the end of the movie refers to The Amityville Horror (another book/movie/true story).

I watched this whilst consuming a bottle of bourbon, very late at night, by myself and in the dark. I also watched Sinister under the same circumstances.... They are the only 2 movies that have ever properly given me the creeps, and I loved it lol. Luckily I lived alone so there was no one to make fun of me for sleeping with my lamp on for nearly a week lmao
