The one that still freaked me out the most was the sun disappearing one. I remember smoking some weed and watching the newer War of the Worlds and having a crazy panic attack. There's just something about the noises and robotic nature that unhinges me. I do have a heavy fear (I suppose it would be a mild phobia) of robots but it's mostly with auditory stuff. Theory: Hollis is a schizophrenic who ran away and thought things were watching him and trying to get him. He thought it was his home and people were sneaking in trying to take him or hurt him so when the 7 year old came in he thought he would do something to h so he killed him and tried to escape. That is why it said they want to connect to people in a deeper level which is anxiety and feelings like that. So Hollis didn't mean to do this and has no idea what's going on or what he's doing and he's living in a completely different world than Anthony. Edit: I feel like there's something up with Anthony but I don't know what. He didn't seem sad or have any feelings like that for his brother all there was was anger towards Hollis with zero remorse for his brother almost as if he didn't care about him or he's just looking for an excuse to get rid of Hollis, maybe the reason he ran away.

I hope this isn't the case. Schizophrenia is already displayed by media, specifically horror media, in a terrible fetishistic way. People with schizophrenia aren't your fun little puppets to wave around and go BOO! SCARY! They're real people who are far, far more likely to be targeted by violent crimes then commit them. The thing that gave this away for me was the calls from his “Psychiatrist” at the beginning. I’ve been going to psych docs since I was 14 and have NEVER had one call to check up on me after a missed appointment; especially if it was a no-call, no-show. They’d just charge me $100 extra for not calling 24 hours ahead of time (even though I was in the hospital at the time.) No call from the doctor to check up on me, nothing.

You know how people often speculate about horror stories that the main character was crazy and the monsters _were people all along?_ I usually dislike these theories because even if it were true, it would just be a cheap twist for the sake of a twist but this, THIS how to do something like that _right._ Not only is it setup very well in a way that makes you realize it all makes sense when you think back on it, that's a way to make such a twist meaningful: show the consequences of this tragedy and introduce them as new characters, make it _their_ story rather than just a plot device for a "gotcha!" twist. I really really like this idea and will definitely be following the series.

My current theory: in one of the videos Hollis made there’s an unread voicemail from a mental health doctor, Hollis for whatever reason stopped getting help and/or possibly taking some kind of medication, he killed his doctor and ran away, found your house and started hiding, Jordan found him one day, he killed Jordan, (I also think the guy he decapitated could possibly be his doctor) and kept the bodies in bin bags/trash bags, wanted to open the barrel to hide them in there and run. And to top it all off? The videos are to himself, reminders to keep going and of what he did, while venting at the same time by making the videos themselves

Wow I was not expecting that. My heart goes out to you and your family I lost my brother last August and he was 30 so I cannot imagine having one taken from me so young.
