I had a guy try this on me. I sat at the dock till friends arrived, they boarded, and we took him for a joy ride he didn't enjoy. Incapacitated him, stole all his gear, healed him, and then made him "walk the plank" naked, into the void. Lotta fun. His A03 sniper rifle sits in a special place on my 600i.

^^ The toilet on the left as you go in on the Vanguard series is a reliable place to hide. When in their ship theoretically they could see you from the back as well if they're in 3rd person and the ramp is down. You can run and enter their turrets and have a 3rd person view of everything they're doing outside the ship while in transit, plus you can't be killed in their turret. In that ship its directly above in the middle before the door that goes to their cockpit. Shooting through chairs isn't possible but you can lean left or right and chew out their elbows but be careful because it can bug their seats out on some ships and you can't fly after that. A lot of players nosedive into the ground or set the self destruct. If you kill them before and the self destruct is still going, get in the seat and hold backspace again and it will stop the self destruct they started. Doing this with an undersuit on allows you to be quicker, you can equip in their ship if you get onboard. Take the body with you, it had loot and when you get back to GrimHEX just drag their "Undersuit" over to local inventory and their whole loadout will become yours. No need to buy weapons or gear on your next excursion haha. If you desire anymore tips or advice hit me up.

Dragging undersuit doesn't work if they have armor overtop, you still have to pull all the armor off first before you can grab the undersuit.

@@atraxisdarkstar I'm certain if you take the body back to (Where I normally take it) GrimHEX you can simply drag the undersuit into the Landing Zone inventory and it transfers everything worn. I do it multiple times on my streams lol.

The thing with Star Citizen PvP is that it never feels like a sweaty PvP match in games like Rust or other survival games. It always feels more like an adventure than anything.

First off, loved your ark vids, and I'm glad you're on Star Citizen. That said, there are so many idiots right now, it's crazy. You are freaking TOLD by the game that someone got on the ship. 1. Never open a ramp if there is another way to get in the ship. 2. watch your back. 3. check ship comms channel before lifting off, store the ship and re-pull it if someone you don't know is in your comms channel. 4. Persistent hanger elevator followers? server hop. or pull a ship you can get on that they can't (freelancer, side entrance for example.) . With a bit of vigilance, this should never happen to you. I was wondering why there's been an increase in the number of wannabe troll ship stealers, I guess it's probably this video. Several alpha's ago, this was more possible, but now, it's your fault if someone is able to do this to you.

Everyone slips up occasionally. Even veteran players can get their ship stolen at JumpTown, especially if you have to step away from the keys for a moment. There's ways around locked doors, and if someone is savvy enough, they can be in your ship and gone before you even realized it.

The run for the starfarer is why you take the heavy armor off so you can run faster, then put it on via local inventory once you're on the ship

I've missed seeing people enjoying themselves on the other side of the law. Keep making cool content... An idea for a future video: knock out all the comm arrays in your area. If you knock out a comm array, any crime that happens inside that arrays range will go without crime stat. Good way to do this is: - load up a ship with Drake dragonfly or an aopoa nox, and fly outside of their weapons range and scoot in on that, much easier to dodge bullets when you have the cross section of a mosquito, or -Get a buddy to fly past the array going Mach chicken and have him tell you when you should jump out. After the comm arrays down you can get away with murder and do whatever without getting in trouble

It used to be a very common problem in earlier versions, so they introduced ship locks, individual hangars and various other features to counter it. You generally have to be stupid and negligent to allow this to happen to you nowadays

@@Tom--Ace Getting your ship stolen at station is pretty bad. When you're out in the field though, especially if you're doing things like bunkers that require all your attention, maintaining constant vigilance is challenging.

David Braben promised this exact feature in the Kickstarter for Elite Dangerous back in 2014 (stowing away and hijacking ships), so it pisses me off no end that they're now turning round and saying 'ship interiors will be boring and offer no gameplay value so we're not doing them'

I used to love sneaking into the Starfarer from the back deck when someone would spawn it at PO (EVA onto the deck). The back door was considered an interior door so it wouldn't be locked if the ship was locked. I'd wait for the ship to take off the landing pad and then sneak my way into the bridge. I would sit in the Captain's chair directly behind the pilot's seat while the guy was flying and wait for him to engage QT. After a few seconds I would shut off the ship's power from the Captain's chair which would pull us out of Quantum, then quickly exit the bridge and stare in through the door's window as I snicker watching the other player try to figure out what was going on. I'd do this a couple more times and then finally hold them at gunpoint while making stupid demands lol. Piracy in this game is on another level of entertainment lol.

How badly does this affect the player your robbing, y'know aside from the player losing armour and cargo. If they are robbed of their ship but have insurance can they grab another one or do they have to wait for the one you stole to be destroyed? It's a very interesting concept.

They can claim a new ship right away. Sometimes I do bunkers, and if I die and want to use the same ship I used before, I'll claim another one and fly it down and park it next to the first one. I've had four 100is parked outside of SPAL-21 on Lyria before. Like a monument to failure. If someone is shipping cargo, like in a C2, stealing their ship might cost them millions of aUEC. You can't sell their cargo though, so it's worthless to you. You're literally just dicking someone over. Now, if they have drug packages from a bunker or from JumpTown, those have physical models (unlike "cargo" which is an abstraction) and can be moved from their ship into yours (since you can't sell them from a ship you don't own). In that case, the other player didn't sink any money into the endeavour, they just lose the time invested to harvest, and you can sell the packages and make money, which makes it more piratey and less griefy.

You can use middle mouse button to subdue a player/ai instead of killing them, it's a lesser crime and much quicker to clear.

... Intense. I was kinda rooting for you. I was a dumb ass rookie who got my ship stolen as well so watching the aftermath was interesting. Can or did you sell the vanguard I think you "borrowed?" I think doing this fs up the fleet manager. I had to do a reset to get my ship back which wasn't that bad actually. I killed myself before the... "opportunist" could mess more with me. I should have blown the ship before I got up to show that guy ship...

So I've not played this or heard anyone talk about this but what happens when you steal someone's ship? Like do you get to keep it? Do you sell it? Can they repose the ship or something at a terminal? Can the player track you down with another ship?

seems as no one replied, once a ship is hijacked if you where killed you will get sent to which ever hospital your respawn point is set too after that you can head to one of the ASOP terminals (where you call your ship) and reclaim it. depending on the ship it can take about a minute up to about an hour and even more (depends on how expensive the ship is) or you can expedite it for a certain amount of auec. if there is anyone on the ship when it is expedited they will die and will get a crime stat. hope this helps :)

When removing your crime stat in a bunker you want to clear it out first so you don't have to shoot your way out and end up going back to remove it again

Whats your setup? Trying to increase preformance. Im running an rtx 3080 and i9-11900k, 16gb ram. The 16gb of ram might be my problem. But i dont multitask while play this game at all. Edit: installed on ssd as well

A guy did this in one of our groups yesterday but he failed miserably.. we had a fully crewed hammerhead and he tried to take out the pilot but the pilot called an alarm first and the entire career spread him down the bullets before he could get up the elevator out of the cockpit

Vanguard's ramp is a bit scuffed when trying to open it. Tbh a lot of ships require some precision to get the interactive menu options.

I found a better method of doing this is going to bunkers or caves that are popular for missions and waiting for a ship to show up, then after they go inside, cutting through the door with a multitool.

One time I eva’d on top of another players Connie and laid down on the roof wiggling like a lunatic because I thought it’d be funny. It was. It was even funnier when they took off and I phased into the cockpit. He had a co-pilot who got up to shoot me as soon as we cleared the armistice zone. We stared at each other waiting…then we cleared the zone and drew our weapons. He shot me and I shot him, only difference is I aimed for the head…then I executed the pilot as he was getting up from his chair.
