A decent fight from both the Bream and the Salmon. Good, patient angling to land both without a net.

Can't beat the ultralight fishing in my opinion 👍 I have another salmon video coming soon and it went nuts, compared to this one... Still a great bit of fun, that's for sure. I really thought in the water, that Bream was over 40... Cheers mate, tight lines 🎣

G’day mick. The old Parra River mate, lol. That Bream was a stonker, 😊. Me and a good mate of mine use to fish at Five Dock of a night time on the weekends if we didn’t fist the Hawkesbury and used to get a few Bream as well. We never ate any from there also. Nice Salmon too. Great video bud 👍🏼, keep them coming.
@bushfishncook21283 ай бұрын
It can be a decent system at times, if you aren't after a feed as mentioned... Ahhh the hauksbury, I have to get back up there soon, it's been a while. Fishing at night is always fun, I used to do a lot of bait fishing around five dock and Huntleys point, well before I started making videos. I used to get some decent whiting and Bream, I never caught a Jewfish on bait though... We tried so many times after seeing other people get them 😂 But unfortunately, still never on bait, I might have to try again soon...

would you do a video talking about your rod set up is and just in general what gears you use when fishing (rod, reel, line etc)
@bushfishncook21283 ай бұрын
I do mention my gear in a few videos but I will do a video on my fishing gear in the near future though 👍 A quick run down in this video, I'm running a 2500 Daiwa TD black reel, the original (not the new model). The rod is a Daiwa Infeet 0.5-3kg Ultralight (when I do a video i will go through all the details) The braid I use and the only braid I really like, is suffix 131 advanced in 4lb The leader I use is 6lb Shimano Ocea, sometimes if it's a tough bite, I switch to 4lb but generally 6lb 👍 Cheers for the comment mate
@hayden57523 ай бұрын
@@bushfishncook2128 Thanks for the reply mate. Would you recommend this combo? I'm thinking of getting a ultralight setup for lures. Also how come you have a baitcaster looking handle for your reel.
@bushfishncook21283 ай бұрын
@@hayden5752 it's honestly my favourite combo for all round ultralight, but I prefer having my infeet reel on for trout and Bream, the TD black has a deep spool and holds more line, incase of a bigger fish 👍 The double handle is an upgrade for a spinning reel, it makes the reel more balanced when winding, I will be doing the infeet reel the same soon, it just makes it more smooth 👍
@hayden57523 ай бұрын
How many metres of 4lb braid do u use on the td black reel tho since I'm assuming you have the 2500D deep spool model. Do you use alot of backing for the reel? Because on the site it said they hold 300m of PE1.2
@bushfishncook21283 ай бұрын
@haydenchan5621 I have 300yds of 4lb mono backing and 140yds of 4lb braid on top of it almost 450m
