4 min same useless intro 1 min of talk regarding "click on upgrade shaders if you're using HDRP from Graphics settings which uses a new type of shader" remaining time is all same useless talk from Unity Docs with same scenes from Unity (as your every other video) If you're really trying to help us learn then please do something informative rather than reaching your 10:00 mark for video.

Subscribed, thumbs up. As old UE4 gamedev i'm really looking forward to HDRP in Unity, especially what to avoid and how to get the best out of it, step by step. This video convinced me to gave HDRP a second try for our current pitch project we want to finish till end of the year. Thank you!

Unity is so much better now. I literally moved to UE 4, because Unity didn’t have good enough graphics for my project and now I’m thinking about coming back...
@GameDevBeat6 жыл бұрын
i used both ... unity3d are great but still suck your FPS
@rc52196 жыл бұрын
You can achive good graphics since unity 5, the thing is that it is much easier now
@GameDevBeat6 жыл бұрын
its not about easy and high quality graphic its actually unity drop a lot of fps in every tech they released .. in unity3d 2018 when you create an HDRP project takes couple secs to play and still in experimental . i download the last adam tech from Oats Studios and i can't run it normal on my laptop with ( core I7 2.6 , ram 16G , VGA ati 4G ) even i lowered the settings .. i real love unity it have make great games but still best in 2d and unreal has the power for 3d
@gamechallenge72486 жыл бұрын
[KSH] I miss it, but I’m much more used to UE 4 now, so I will probably stick with this. Also, i’ve been working with Unity for half a year and no progress done, but UE 4 was so much easier, my game development progressed really fast)))
A wallpaper i use is: mikaelgustafsson.artstation.com/projects/Y2Wew i think it is very nice and good!

Hello Sykoo ! Thanks for all cause I'm a new comer in Unity (and french too...) ! What about the Unity Measured Materials Library and the Shader Graph materials ? As in a video from "Gamefromscratch" channel called "300+ Free Unity Materials! + A Bit of a HDRP Rant Because.... ARRGGH!", I'm not able to avoid the pink shaders on my model... I've downloaded and install the 2018.3.5f1 version and... "Should I stay or should I go" to Substance Painter plug-ins, supporting the future standalone version of Quixel or wait until the year 2119 ??? Thanks and may the Force be with Unity ;-)

@Sykoo HELP please! I got error in Unity 2019.2.0a8 version after installing HDRP : Library\PackageCache\com.unity.render-pipelines.high-definition@5.9.0-preview\Runtime\Lighting\Shadow\HDShadowManager.cs(476,17): error CS1061: 'ShadowDrawingSettings' does not contain a definition for 'useRenderingLayerMaskTest' and no accessible extension method 'useRenderingLayerMaskTest' accepting a first argument of type 'ShadowDrawingSettings' could be found (are you missing a using directive or an assembly reference?)

First, awesome channel. Secondly, I want to get started with Unity 2018 but every time I start a terrain, all I get is a pink terrain. How do I fix that? I tried to create a new material for the terrain which worked but then I can't paint anything on it. I am totally stuck because I do need my terrain first and go from there. Please help. Thanks.

For a new Unity game project, would you make it Lightweight RP or High Definition RP? And when should we use what
@ayandamarotya96075 жыл бұрын
Depends on what you want... for instance if you want the best graphics that would not heavily impact the overall performance, say maybe you are building a mobile game, Lightweight RP would be the best to implement as it is the Lighter rendering Pipeline of the two. The Lightweight Render Pipeline is typically good to use for Processor constrained machines with not much power to push the HDRP rendering.

@@sykoo dude it Says guide I was hoping to see some unity editor some small tips and tricks not wasting my time seeing footage I had seen 100 times. Some real stuff instead of your bs.
@sykoo6 жыл бұрын
Yes, a guide is supposed to *guide* you through the feature, not give you tips and tricks. If I wanted to give five short tips, I would've done so. Coming to the video with the wrong expectation and understanding of the language used in the title, then calling the work itself bullshit is ridiculous. Now that's what I call bs. =)
