B1 changed my life...no more depression, anxiety, over thinking, negative thinking, exhaustion, weakness, fatigue, feeling overwhelmed, low tolerance for stress, lightheadedness and more. These were some of the symptoms that were gone almost immediately when I started B1. When I realized I was suffering from Adrenal fatigue/failure. I began taking the B1 and an " Adrenal Optimiser". It has taken me 8 months on the Adrenal Optimiser to feel better but the B1 worked immediately.

I feel so much better!!! I took this for 8 months. I will never stop taking the B1...now I only take 1 a day at 150mg. God bless you. I pray you feel better soon! I watched your interview with Daphne 8 months ago. Was on 175mg of levodopa every 2 hours for over a year and was very tired, dragging, face mask. Added B1 therapy with 100mg sublingual daily. 8 months in, almost no dragging, face smiles no more mask, much better balance, riding a bike again, fine motor skills greatly improved, way more energy, only 1 off per day usually about 30 minutes, able to dry myself with a towel again. So many little things. Still ups and downs during the day but when I am up, many don’t think I have Parkinson’s. (Until the next dip and then I may slur a little until the next dose of levodopa). Haven’t been able to lower my levodopa yet, but I started in rough shape. I am so much better and hoping for more. So glad for the internet or I would still be in a wheelchair! Thanks 🙏

As a retired end of life care nurse, I love hearing these stories! I served many drinks (under physician orders) and observed the various physical and psychosocial effects. For some, the ritual itself was so calming and supportive that the patient barely drank and was relaxed and in less pain. One lady had a shot of Southern Comfort every night for PTSD and sleep. She was a Holocaust survivor.

I did basically the same thing. I went from 100mg TTFD and 300mg benfothiamine every morning and felt better immediately. That lasted about 2 weeks before the Paradoxical symptoms started. They subsided after about a month. I upped the dose by taking the same amount twice a day and the same thing happened. After about a month improvements came and I upped the dose again. I now take 100mg of TTFD and 300mg combined with 700mg magnesium and 1500mg potassium three times a day and a methylated B-complex in the morning and I haven’t had any paradoxical symptoms so far and it’s been over a month. All I’m seeing now are improvements. My anxiety is pretty much gone and so is my brain fog. I had a TMJ problem, gone. My neuropathy in my foot has improved by 90%, it’s not a constant pain anymore. Most of the time I don’t feel it at all. The neuropathy in my hand is completely gone. My POTS are gone. My gut issues have been resolved. Even my eye has improved. I’ve had a retinal hemorrhage in my right eye and been getting monthly injections to stabilize it. For the first time in three years are the doctors seeing improvements and actual remission. The only thing I still struggle with is air hunger, I often feel like I can’t take a deep breath and I still have a hard time getting rid of lactic acid. I’ve started supplementing with bicarbonate that I take before bed and that seems to help. The only tip I can give you is pushing through the paradoxical reactions because they will die off. Have in mind that new completely different symptoms can occur, even ones you never had before.

New article in Science: "Pyrimidines maintain mitochondrial pyruvate oxidation to support de novo lipogenesis". From Editor's Summary: '"Pyrimidines are essential metabolites for biosynthesis but are not typically viewed as playing an important role in central carbon metabolism. Sahu et al. now report that pyrimidines influence the activity of pyruvate dehydrogenase, a key intermediary enzyme between glycolysis and the tricarboxylic acid cycle and respiration. Depletion of pyrimidines led to loss of thiamine pyrophosphate (a required cofactor for pyruvate dehydrogenase), apparently because the pyrimidine UTP rather than ATP functions as a preferred substrate for TPK1, the enzyme that produces thiamine pyrophosphate. ...'
