I am doing this project and I made a bunch of mistakes. If you do this put the open part at the top on the bucket and don’t do the bottom. Do use the plant wire. Only need 1 lair of the tape. The first coat is runny. Do use a paint brush. The next coats are thicker. Do use a putty knife. That’s all I got so far.

WOW, JUST WOW!! These are so unique and different from any other die pots I have watched here on KZbin. The little foam balls were genius and using the rope to create a lip, was brilliant! They look almost like ancient vessels found in the waters of Greece or in a Mayan temple. You have a good eye for proportions too. Thank you so much for sharing your creativity with us and I can't wait to see more from you. More cement projects, please!

You have just deservedly earned me as a subscriber. Amazing content. ❤ I’ve been redoing my entire house and was searching endlessly for large pots that I liked for my faux trees outside. These are phenomenal. Thank you!! 🙏
@terrijuanette486 Жыл бұрын
Did you know that you could actually NOT put cement in the bottom & use them for planting. The cement won't hurt plants. It's only lime. The larger pot would be a perfect tree container! There's a woman on YT that shows how she takes out the bottom of extra large terracotta pots for trees. It's lovely and your pots would work perfectly for it, too!

Great vids! I subscribed..:) I would just use mister setting on garden hose spray nozzle instead of all that pumping and messing with a water bottle. The mister setting is intended for seedlings so you don't break them when they are tiny so it should be not problem of to much water! Cant wait to try some of these out....

The pots turned out so cool. I really liked using the mesh tape for reinforcing the interior. The foam balls were a nice decorative touch. Only downside is the overall shape of the pots. If actually used as planters, it would be near impossible to repot once a plant outgrows the pot, without either tearing up the rootball, or breaking the pot.
@non1503 Жыл бұрын
Yeah I was thinking the same thing. My thoughts to fix that are. Treat is like a japanese storehouse (aka Kura) windows. Make two half balls with a two or three step ledge on the two meeting edges. This will seal well it most likely won't leak water. the real problem is if it is a tree or large bushy plant and trying to get it out of the small top opening. They do this with japanese store house windows and doors. Learned this from japanology tv show episode Kura.
