My house is usually a mess which bothers me. But whenever I get it fully cleaned and hard surfaces are clear, it also bothers me and I think I finally realized last night that it’s because I don’t have any decor out when it is clean so it feels too bare and for some reason that makes me feel anxious still. So I’m going to try getting the clutter under control once and for all and then start adding some decor to the counter and maybe it’ll stick 😂

I'm a cricket, but married to a butterfly. This is not ideal but so many of your tips are making things easier. Thanks

I have experienced the power of pretty! I upgraded a few things in my bedroom. Fresh paint because I needed to patch holes, drapes from marketplace, a rug and new reading lamps above the bed. Decluttered under the bed and my closet and most Important, an everlasting pile in the corner. In the bathroom I revamped the laundry closet with adhesive wallpaper on the back wall, shopped my home for baskets to store stuff out of sight, they are of the same banana leaves material and go well with the bamboo tray on top of the appliances. I have fake flowers too! Well four years later I have not recluttered any corner, I pick up my clothes and make my bed everyday. I do laundry regularly (because I have less clothes) but it helps as I hate to fold large amounts of clothing in one go. I don't clutter the top of my appliances either. I don't want crap on my vanity, which helps with the overall feeling of calmness because it's tidy all the time. Understanding I was a cricket helped define what I needed to achieve the home I want to thrive in! Small changes that made a big difference! I love your podcasts!

I love Lisa’s channel. It’s so aspirational. She makes pretty so easy, and her personality is pleasant. Well done, Lisa.

Love this collaboration! One of my kitchen ceiling lights stopped working. It wasn't the bulb so I purchased three new light fixtures for my kitchen. I finally had them put up and when I turned them on it was like the sun fell out of the sky and landed in my kitchen 😂. They are LED and Wow, they are too bright🌅!!

The succents are very realistic. I put mine in a ceramic pot with dirt. One day I noticed my husband was watering them mine along with his real ones and I said something about it. LOL. He said he'd been watering the fake ones all summer!

I love throw pillows , however my chiwahuha has a split personality! Luis and Peter . Peter is not so kind ! I cover my bed pillows with a blanket in hopes Peter is kind . Mostly it works . Luis is a kind boy .

I agree! Light color matters! I like warm white... But for task lighting, like my craft light is the cooler light. I just love a warm lamp for doing my early morning budgeting and paperwork... Less office like and more inviting for the task.

Here lately, I've been in the mood to repaint everything a creamy color, but I want some color as well. I'm not sure what to do. Plus, we desperately need to redo our bathroo. Yikes...too much. Great video. 😊

My issue with the battery powered bulbs is that they don't last long. I have to recharge them so often that it is more of a pain than it's worth.

Even I have fake plants which I never thought I would, but it is plastic and plastic is really, really bad for the environment. So what do we do instead?

I find it ironic that the high end interior design trend is to paint your house in a manner that would cause someone to think you're a renter when they walk in the door, and use mirrors to draw the eye to the fact that you clearly thought something should be in that space, but instead of putting something there where the first and last thought a lot of people might have is that you just like that item you are adding something that makes it clear you just didn't want to hang the art you could afford. Sorry people but a mirror draws the eye and the mind to the fact that maybe you are just vain and didn't have the ability to get an original as opposed to happened to find a piece you like that also happened to be mass produced. That being said if you don't want to paint the original work yourself it's probably a pretty rare thing to come across but I do know that it's not by any means unprecedented for artists to trade their art as payment for other goods and services. There's also plenty of beginner and emerging artists out there who will sell their one of a kind art for way less than an established professional. And if even that's to expensive you could always try seeing if you can find something online that rather than locally a store sells 100 of something you can assume every buyer is in a 50 mile radius and people saw it just cutting through the isle, the online marketing you can assume that same 50 was across the globe and the vast majority of people who saw it actually were looking for something like that at the time so it might stand out as mass produced less than if you picked the thing up at your local retailer.
