Man, you are one heck of a storyteller! I really enjoyed this video. I’m a history nerd 🤓 so I definitely loved the antiques and storytelling! Your Pops is precious! So happy to see him on your videos! My family lives 14 hours away, so I only get to see them once every couple years.

I appreciate you relaying that input. It’s good to know that some folks like the history segments. Be sure and check out The Farmstead Market. Same time period history.

My parents and I used to pass by High Grove all the time going to my grandparents house. Stopped in a few times for bottles of Coca-Cola (real stuff then) and some bags of salted peanuts. Takes me down memory lane. I'm going to have to get back out there and definitely try that grub. Thanks so much for this video. Absolutely great.

Very interesting video, Barry. I love to hear the history of a location, as well as that awesome food! Think I saw Burgoo on that menu board! Love Burgoo! The antiques shop is so cool looking, I saw the Charles Chips cans and remember the deliveries to our house. I read somewhere they are still in business today, just not around here. Also, would just love to look through those books!

Barry my friend, place & food looks great, you eat your meal just like me, but I would order 2-3 extra eggs as I like a lot of runny yolk on my biscuits & gravy, home fries look good & 1 of the few items I put ketchup on, some real buttered toast on the side also. You used my fave hot sauce, McIlhenney's tobasco hot sauce as i know the logo & I believe this place is in Nelson County near Bardstown, I'll never get my wife out of the antique shop , especially without buying something or spending money, lol, btw, nice of you to take your Pa out to eat, my Ma & Pa are in a nursing home in their mid 80's, but we eat there on occasion during our visits, their health won't allow them to go out anywhere, that's OK though
@goodallscountrykitchen2 жыл бұрын
That’s the only way I can enjoy my B&G now. Yes, it is in Nelson County five mikes north of Bardstown. I’m sorry to hear about Ma and Pa. I’m sure they could have any of our faves, even if they could get out.
