No denying that a disturbingly large part of the Anglo Catholic group is like that, we had a “mother” once who was also very big on “inclusive orthodoxy” but if they’re under a flying bishop they’re usually good and orthodox

@@iainclark5964 actually I do, England is an Anglican nation and ever since King Henry VIII split from the Catholic Church after the pope refusing to divorce him with Catherine of Aragon, England afterwards had always been weary of the Catholic Church and even labelled it as the Popish faith 😊. For centuries there would be religious wars with the Spanish as England became a Protestant nation. During the reign of Oliver Cromwell this weariness against the papacy only increased as the puritans hated everything about the ‘Popish faith’. The only time England was officially ruled by a Catholic sovereign after this was during the reign of King James II who was chased of the throne by his Protestant son in law, William of Orange and since then England remained a firmly Anglican nation.
