You should have the air suspension in normal mode, place the truck in jack mode, lower the trailer on to your hitch, connect the ball, raise the trailer using the trailer jack, connect the WD bars, lower the trailer jack, then drive the trailer away. I had the JGC with the air suspension and used the same process. The air suspension should never be used to raise or lower the trailer. You can check with FCA on this but I'm sure it is written in the manual. Looking forward to towing my trailer with my new 2020 1500 Limited EcoDiesel.

I have a 2020 big horn with a 3.0 and 3.92 rear end. As far as towing goes it's great and it still has pretty good fuel economy. I've done the same steering repair that you did. Personally I didnt want the air suspension so I went with out it same with the sun roof. As for the leaking sun roofs. I'm a mechanic and I found on other vehicles it's one of two things. The sun roof drains getting clogged or the gasket going bad. Majority of the time it's the drains. I usually suggest to people to get a snake (same tool to unclog toilets/pipes) and just run it through all 4 holes in the sun roof. It is possible for bugs to crawl in there and get stuck and die in these drains. My complaint but I knew it when I got the truck is that I cant have a 33 gallon tank in my current configuration (quad cab with a 6' bed).
@MrJustinWheeler4 жыл бұрын
Good to know! I will check out my sunroof drains and try to stay ahead of that problem. The 33 gallon tank is glorious. It feels great filling up and see 500+ miles to empty. Thanks for watching!

@@MrJustinWheeler it's just something I've noticed on other vehicle I'm pretty sure ram would follow the trend of other manufacturers in regards to the drains. I normally work on fords and toyotas. They normally are at the corners of the sunroof. I have a few guys who come in like at the end of summer and end of winter just to stay ahead of it as well. Yeah I figured that would be nice. When I bought my truck in March, they wanted $3700.00 for the extended 5 year warranty. The truck already comes with a 3 year bumper to bumper warranty. So that $3700.00 was just for the last two years of that 5 year warranty. I saved the $3700.00 and IF I have an issue, that $3700.00 will go toward the repair rather than gambling it on "I might have an issue"

Finally someone talks about the gearing. I had no idea until I got a 2021. My 2019 averaged a honest 18.5 mpg in a normal work week. It would also hum along at around 1800 rpm going 68-70 mph. I now have a Rebel with the "off road " package. With caution I can only get 16.3 mpg. My usual average is 15.8 The engine is also turning a tick over 2000 rpm at the same 68-70 mph. Lastly my 19 Rebel is 430 lbs lighter ( no Ram boxes spray liner) but still thats a lot. Love my truck however.
@cgatesgates66313 жыл бұрын
What gears do you have in your 19?
@Dragandspinn3 жыл бұрын
@@cgatesgates6631 IDK exactly, but since there are only 2 ratios Id say the taller of the 2 because of the lower rpm on the highway. The 21 is a bit snappier because of the shorter gearing. It makes passing easier without much effort. Honestly I like 21 Rebel better because it has more niceties so to speak. But my19 felt lighter on its feet (because it was lighter) and got much better gas mileage. Again maybe its the off road package.
Great video. I have a 2019 ram 1500 midnight edition. Overall I really love the truck but you are right about the A/C. It just doesn't blow as cold as other trucks I have had. Careful towing heavy with that 3.21 rear axle ratio. That setup is only rated at about 7,500 or 8,000 lbs. 2019 ALL RAM Trucks 1500, 2500 & 3500 with RAM boxes did not included the divider this was a change from 2018 I found this out because I took delivery of my 19 and there was no divider so of course I went back to my sales lady (that I have bought 3 trucks from) during our investigation into this issue we found out RAM stopped including the divider in 2019.... Very unhappy about that issue, I wish I would have known this I would have kept the divider out of my 18.

On mine it has a option for ram box and another option is the bed utility group. Now on the 2021 when you use the online configuration tool and you add the ram box the graphic changes to show the ram boxes but no divider. When you select the bed utility group the divider appears in the bed of the truck. Not sure about the 19.

Rambox comes with the bed divider. In earlier 2019's they also had the pins by the tailgate to use it as a bed extender as well, but they stopped that around mid 2019. You can still buy the parts and install yourself

Ok so here’s the deal...I have a 2019 just like yours, sans air ride. It has been the biggest piece of crap vehicle I’ve owned yet...and I’ve had Fords! While you covered the air conditioning issues and sunroof leak...you failed to mention a huge issue for those of us that actually drive this truck in truck-intended conditions...i.e. dirt and gravel roads. The amount of dust that fills the cab while driving down gravel roads is simply insane. It hangs in the air and you can taste it! It has nothing to do with recirc on the hvac system but rather Dodge’s shit design of the rear cab-wall vents. This is a complete deal breaker as I primarily drive gravel roads...and dealer won’t acknowledge the problem and has no suggestions to remedy. I’m also not alone on this...other people are experiencing it, even pre-2019 models. Going back to Toyota. My Tundra delivered 270k miles of completely trouble free service. Fluids/tires/one set of brake pads/one battery. #ramremorse
@MrJustinWheeler3 жыл бұрын
I hate to hear that. I too spend a significant amount of time on dirt and gravel roads. I have not experienced any water leaks or dirt/debris entering my cab (unless I open my doors or windows).
