This seems as bad as charging you for your paint on a new truck. duh. This is about money every time. The manufactures sticking to the consumer to stay profitable for their own inefficiencies in producing trucks and all vehicles for that matter. If I wanted more power I would buy after market like Banks to get it.

Cooling in the turbo is the CHRA or center section. Now, the low temp circuit is cooling the compressor housing like you find in high performance stationary machines. This helps keep air density higher before going to the charge air cooler which imparts a higher air density at the intake manifold. The turbo has a different compressor trim as well.

So it's worth it?

@@DS-TRUCKS in my opinion, yes. Especially under sustained load. That’s where the added output will shine.

@@DS-TRUCKSit was worth it to me. About 6 months ago I received my order 2024 F350 SRW 6.7HO Platinum Tremor. I like car washes and so the DRW was off the table plus I like the idea of taking it offroad, which I probably won’t actually ever do. Mainly it’s my daily and every few months it tows our 2024 Brinkley Z3610 5th wheel RV.

I’ve never tried Hot Shot’s oil, I’ve been with Amsoil for years and love it!

The main difference according to Ford is that the HO is more commercial duty. It can take pushing it a bit more. Instead of downshifting so often, you can get more turbo boost because the turbo is cooled better.

How has it held up, I’ve had 7.3 PSD, Many Many VW 1.9/2.0 TDIs and Run 3 MACK Dump Trucks E7 350’s daily. They’ve all ran many years without any major repairs to the engines. How Do these Newer Diesel Vehicles hold up. How many miles do these trucks go without replacing engine components. Many of my friends Run New dump trucks, 2018 and newer seem to be pretty reliable in class 8 trucks. Prior to 2018 most trucks spent many weeks or months in the shops getting bugs worked out. Has this also been something people experienced with light/medium Duty trucks. I’m looking to get a f350 DRW with a 6.7

Good, honest information. Thanks for sharing. I already ordered one with the HO but wouldn’t hesitate to buy without if I came across one on the lot with all the other trim/options I want.

Appreciate the perspective and opinion. I would love to see a similar comparison based on towing a heavy load at or near GCWR.

Its worth it, the fact that it runs cooler is a big deal in the hot climate states like Texas. Just got a H.O. and climbing The Vail Summit has been effortless. Its worth it...the exhaust brake is a touch better.

As long as it still has that emissions shit on it it is either a standard ticking timebomb or a high output ticking time bomb…both colossal pieces of shit not meant to last.

Do you own one ? We trade them In. Who gives a whopping fuck what it does after 50k miles. Not me. I trade up. Wirh that said - I have a buddy who has has around 30 brand new 6.7s for his crew. He has had literally zero emission problems with them. No problems period. No he doesn’t keep them forever. What is he a fucking idiot. If you can’t afford to trade in and trade up then stay in your old beater
