I was secretly hoping that in his aloof state he would get up chasing after the guy passing his horse that actually survived and it was just two other horses that got blown up. :( Pity though.

But in all seriousness they play with alot of homebrew aspects its the dms discretion if he wanted to catch the dude he could of made athletics checks on berty because athletics and acrovatics can be interchanged with the right flavoring like just jump over or run through things with stength itstead of dodging and runing on walls and shit
@johnsorrows89986 жыл бұрын
So like oil spill i get for dex saving but rats he should of asked if he could use his strength or con to just straight run through them barrels in a tight allyway i want to rage and use my strenght to charge through just clipping all the shit and ignoring it so its partially the players fault for not suggesting alternatives to give him a slight advantage and slightly the dms fault for creating a difficult challenge that he may or may not have wanted the party to pass

@wombataldebaran96866 жыл бұрын
He is from the 1998 video game Baldurs Gate which plays i the Forgotten Realms setting, just like this module. He is a ranger/barbarian that joins your group early on, who lives to kick evil in the butt and trusts the advise of his loyal animal companion Boo, the miniature giant space hamster. (Boo permablocks one his item quickslots^^) He is just amazing

@arcticbanana666 жыл бұрын
"Simulacrum" and "personhorse" do seem to be the two main theories. There was an old (as in early '90s) D&D game for the PC whose name I can't remember in which you explored the Undermountain, and at one point one of your hired henchmen opens a chest and finds a red rod capped with a small golden horse head which immediately turns him into a horse when he grabs it (and thus you learn that it's the famous Rod of Horsing crafted by the insane wizard Miggles the Mad). If Grundle was a reference to _that,_ I will be very impressed.
