I feel like Whirlwind is just very situational. Funnily, it does not state that it requires 30ft of clearance, so it can be used indoors. It's a 7th level spell that does damage and can restrain up to 9 creatures. If used in an open field, any that save out of it have to spend up to 3 turns returning. If used indoors, it does more damage from launching them into walls if they save out of it. If used on some kind of island-like battlefield (like in this case), saving out of it can launch you to your doom. But island-like battlefields are not too common.

Part of me doesn't trust Max, he is fiercely loyal to Starbane, is sworn to protect her, why though? because Stsrbane loves Valla and made Max her bodyguard, he supposedly loved Ciasca and he killed her, where would his loyalties lay if Starbane ordered Max to put Valla in harms way or to harm her himself? or what if Starbane tries to harm Valla? he is an interesting character, but I can't help but think they shouldn't trust him until he proves he is ready to protect Valla from even Starbane himself.

@@thefracturedbutwhole5475 max himself admits this, he is still a Valkyrian soldier and if ordered to, would cross blades with the Storm Chasers. Thing is we know what Sentry is like, and I doubt she would fight to the death without trying to reason with Max first, and even if she defeats him, she won't kill him. My guess is they'll both find out more details that had been hidden to them prior and this will cause them to become closer in unity against the Hadar threat

Alright hear me out here. Nova’s 9th level spell should be true polymorph. So the army of young sliver dragons can begin, or create a new traveling group with a few war priests and champions. Most enemies of the campaign won’t even know that these creatures are spell created and won’t think on dispelling them. I say nova should have this, because quill will probably go for foresight or mass heal and Lucius.... I actually don’t know what Lucius wants to do for his 9th level, but he can’t do true polymorph. Edit: also Alia should go into fighter or Rogue or paladin for her last two levels. Fighter for action surge, Rogue for the sneak attack bonus, and paladin for divine smite. Just imagine the damage output in a single turn

Lucius might pick prismatic wall since his class allows him to access spells that does his dichromancy damage like armor of agathys, it fits for his prismatic spray spell is now in a version of a wall.

Pretty please with sugar and cherries on top, could somebody please talk to DND beyond, I can’t get a hold of them, their service is not compatible for the blind, I am totally blind, ever played D&D for the last 20 years, I can’t even use padded paper, at much therefore depend on my imagination, which is great don’t get me wrong, however! Imagine somebody who has never been able to play the game properly having access to such a dreamy miracle of DND beyond platform, please help Obi-Wan, I have a braided tree as well, so keeping all the monster stats stats for people players, etc., it’s becoming a big problem, to be able to use a DND beyond would be a great booed, could somebody please contact them on my behalf, and see if they can add program their system to be compatible with voiceover, voiceover is the interface that allows me as a blind person to be able to use Apple devices, Thank you and to highrollers, y’all are a credible, thanks for all the years of kick ass distraction

Have to disagree based on a number of objections that they brought up. It's a bunch of abilities but no net change of AC for Aila at best. Lucius really needs it and it's lack of restrictions means it's a form of armour he couldn't use otherwise. Which means they literally couldn't substitute anything else in it's place. Aila is more of a thematic and esthetic choice. Mechanics are just more practical.
