One thing I never expected was for D&D to make me appreciate standard video game shops. I can get 99 hi potions for dirt cheap but in D&D healing potions are practically a luxury item.

Finally, a chance for some good Lucius content. I feel like he hasn't really had any critical story beats ever since The Elenasto Fiasco, only the mention of a great ancestor in the Quill trials, same with Sentry but a little lesser cuz her Prime Matrix keeps getting updated. Everyone else has had some consistent story beats through, especially Alia and Nova. I'm not complaining but I'm hoping that we get some really cool story moments for Lucius and Sentry soon.

It's also really neat how each of the characters has their own theme to their story. Nova's is very linked to magi-tech, sentry's is obviously bound up in guardian lore, etc. And Lucius' are linked to Gusthaven and etherium- am looking forwards to the weapon's facility, so far sounds very cool!!!

What about geaaaar as well, everyone gets mad buffs of a divine nature, poor Lucius is running around with his (admittedly cool) guantlet that is really quite situational. When are the rest of the team going to acknowledge they should spend some money on the poor lad? He blew his whole family fortune on them, and they won’t even spare some group funds to buy him some nice clothes!

This is where magic item attunement becomes a problem Wouldn’t it be cool if you could make like a magitek thing that’s not like proper armour that Lucius could wear- like thalia’s ship has the arcane shields do you think theoretically you could make arcane armour for a person with it that can be activated x times a day. That’s kind of like shield spell but he wouldn’t need to burn a spell slot of reaction The mage armour spell is definitely much less complicated than what my 3am brain spurted sorry lmao I’m imagining the magitek stuff of his cloak thing like super cool looking gems or cool intergraded clockwork looking things that project the kind of shimmering effect

Fun Fact: Thor is actually a quarter Giant in Norse Mythology. His mother was Jord, who's father was Annar, an Island Giant. Also, the mother of two of his children, Magni and Modi, is the Frost Giant Jarnsaxa. So Thor and his line are actually very closely tied to Giants in general.

I understand that it has been some time for them but at the end of lasg episode Mark said it would not be wise, and one of three sisters said the would not want them, to use the path between the secret basement and the house. Also they where invited by them to have dinner with them and they seemed just to be interested in the idea that lucius was invited by the Sky Prince. Its a real shame they forgot all this and weird when you watch the episodes immediately after eachother. Nothing to do about it now though, they are doing their best.

That is the reason I started watching your podcast on spotify, I started listening during the fall of 2020 on your very first episode when you first started your thrilling adventure. After that first episode I could not get enough, I listen to you all throughout my work day, and found myself getting attached to your characters. I even felt a true honest felling of sorrow when Sentry had fallen and again with Quill. You have helped me learn so much and for that I am grateful. A great 'downtime' episode, which after the last run of episodes was much needed. Oddly the little quirks and details (especially the last ten minutes with Nova' Dream spell, and everything Lucius) sometimes impact more on the quality of the story than the epic events. Almost caught up (before episode 100 I hope).

I don't think Tom has realized how limited the secret chest spell is. It creates a regular 3x2x2 chest so you can't really store anything other then money or potions. Weapons and armor don't fit.

is it me or are many regular healing potions better, than a a few greater? i mean you can heal party members from 0, using any healing potion and getting them up is more important given that any member that hits zero is likely gonna drop after being healed as the creatures are going to seem them as the weakest.

it's kind of different because with injury checks they have a reason to prioritise not hitting zero

@@cjmagee6648 the main reason they use potions is when the party members like Nova, Lucius or Aila need to heal someone from 0 but don't have any healing magic. A greater healing potion will give you 12 health as an average, which is almost always less health than a single enemy would do in damage with one attack at this level, so if there's no difference between 12 average or 6 average from a standard potion, no reason not to go standard from an availability and financial standpoint. Superior averages 24 health, so that's the one you'll want if you want someone to stand a chance see surviving more than one hit. All that said, it's pretty meta-gamey to talk about hp like that because in-game, one of your best friends is lying on the ground dying in a pool of their own blood and you don't think to yourself "well a weak potion should be fine, doesn't make sense to give them anything stronger". Unless you're playing as kind of a dick.
