If i recall correctly, before party go to the Newlight, Cam asked Cassandra to stashed those explosive, but Trott apparently forgot to cross it on his char.sheet. Speaking of Cassandra, nobody even remembered to report to her about saved lightborn kids, while they was in the Bahamut Temple. Even Jiutou(Kim), who's had leave her pet Chinchilla to Cass.

i know im late to the show but im so confused right now and could really use some input here, last i checked they had rescued the children and then found out about what was happening to korak and elora's dad, next thing i know the party have left new light and are arriving at veldaband or how ever u spell it and the kids are no where to be seen and neither is the chick and the robot, they then rescue them and go back and do not call for casandra to tell her about the children and when they do finally meet her they dont mention it. what happened to those kids

Malady and the robot were sent to Talis'Val and that's a five day journey. They went to Veldeban which took two days. They had the fight with Sylval and took another day to recover. Since Elora cast Transport via Plants they are in the city two days ahead of Malady, Hank and the kids. And in typical HRs fashion shifting gears has caused them to forget the mission preceding the last. You remember the kids but the players have forgotten. Granted in this case they had like a month of downtime.

Oh good, my abstinences were starting to bug me. I had to turn to Heroes & Halfwits (Achievement Hunter/Rooster Teeth D&D) instead, which was a mistake. An uncharismatic DM (who seems unable to keep especially one chaotic neutral player from doing whatever the heck he wanted) and not one, but TWO paladins, who suddenly, at the same time, realised "Oh hey, I'm unable to RP a lawful good character. Let me keep my class, character and stats and go for a vengeance-driven, murderous paladin instead." Their DM allowed that too. The good thing? Great story-teller. But if you don't have the authority as a DM, everything's going to get derailed. ESPECIALLY when you allow a chaotic neutral character to basically run the show instead.

Heroes & Halfwits is pretty loose as far as DnD goes. If you expected anything less from Achievement Hunter you are a fucking idiot. Not to mention, you think Geoff's character ran the show? Every party member fucking hated Bo Jingles, and would purposely not do whatever he suggested and belittle him at every turn. He didn't run shit. The most he could get away with without abuse was making NPC's fart for a minute, wowee what a derailment. Oh wow, he "allowed" them to pick Vengeance Paladin!? He let them... pick an Oath... that they chose? The horror. Are you suggesting he should have not allowed them to pick that, and for what reason? They didn't just up and decide to change their characters, they hit level 3, Genius. Killing Kobolds, Diseased animals and Drow slavers, all of which attacked them first, hardly makes them murderous. Of course it gets derailed, refer to my second sentence, their podcast is called Off Topic. In any case, this sounds like something you should be complaining about on their own fucking channel, don't bring your pedantic bullshit here.

Way to go, being a toxic douche bag. You think I was talking about Geoff, I was talking about Ryan. Geoff is Geoff so bullshittery is to be expected, but I expected Ryan to be a little sophisticated. I also expected a DM to be able to not let things run that much amok, but Frank isn't able to do that. I am very much aware of Achievement hunter's shenanigans, but the D&D player in me was hoping it would be at least semi-serious with funny RP to it. The funny RP was there, yes, but it very took over from anything else. As for the two Paladins, you could see both Michael and Gus having a hard time not just killing anything that they were to face. I agree they fought the Drow because the Drow attacked, I'm talking about cutting the throat of an already-surrendered, defenseless character, as they both point out after being questioned by Ryan, that they would , QUOTE "be okay with that happening in the future." I admire Frank for stepping up and asking "How would you feel about that as a lawful good paladin?" And that's exactly where you know that they didn't/couldn't RP as lawful good characters. When a DM asks about your alignment, it's typically because you've broken it, and in a way that would be uncanny for your character. Thirdly, I was reasoning why I had to stop watching H & H, while waiting for more of this. In any case, your statement sounds like it should be a comment on it's own, rather than as a reply to my reasoning, so to semi-qoute yourself: Don't bring your pedantic, hypocritical bullshit here.

I personally enjoy when players help shape the story through their actions, Critical Role is an excellent example of this, but the idea of a D & D campaign is to tell a story, whether it's a short, intensive story, like Tomb of Annihilation, or the longer, slower and more winding story (HighRollers and Critical Role). Letting your characters help shaping the world is an excellent idea, and it is important to keep the players interested in the campaign, but, as DM/GM there should still a certain layer of control. To keep the story from running away from the players. Critical Role is an excellent example, Vax (a very powerful Rogue) often tries to stab the eyes of a foe (in an attempt to either kill them or give them a serious disadvantage for a longer fight, with Sneak Attack he deals huge damage on the first hit, however Matt Mercer (the GM of Crit. Role) doesn't just give the creatures damage to their sight, because he remains in control of the story (and perhaps keeping Vax from being more OP than Rogues already are in 5e). A good DM/GM should not just be a narrator (which is pretty much what happened in Heroes & Halfwits, as more and more control slipped from their GM, Frank, because he failed to step in in time, and he doesn't have the charisma or authority to do it now), a good DM should also be able to neither help nor hinder the players in progressing, keeping track of important actions and events, as well as have an understanding of all the player's chracters (where Frank also failed, as one is to assume he helped when his players created two lawful good paladins, he should have made it crystal clear what that allignment means, as they later both failed to RP it so much, that they basically switched to chaotic good/neutral from lawful good). Because of all of this, there is a lot of mediocre DMs and only a few really good DMs, Mark Hulmes, Matt Mercer and Dan (of the Funhaus Twits & Crits) are amongst who I've seen as good. Frank is mediocre for a number of reasons, the guy is great at story-telling, but you need more than that to be a good DM.

I get that this is 3 years old but I feel like Mark has made some big mistakes lately. The caster of levitate can lift the object or subject of their spell. Someone can only be insta killed with a strike if it drops them to 0 and then goes negative equal to their max hit points, not half their hit points. Reckless attacks does not give advantage on every attack in a round, only the first attack. That was all in the fight with Sylval. I know he changes some rules to his liking but those are some big divergences from the rules.

I suggest you reread Reckless Attack from a reputable source. You have to elect its use on the initial attack but it does, in fact, effect every attack on your turn.
