That brings back memories of running Terex scrapers and dozers. The 979 Terex scraper had a V- 12/71 turbid at 500 hp and the dozer had a V-8 71 with a straight pipe. Hearing protection was definitely needed. Couldn’t beat that sound.

Heck yeah! They were a lot of fun in off road equipment. I remember running an Terex dozer with an 8v71... you could scream and not hear yourself screaming when that thing was at WOT. lol

Absolutely the best TONE ever!! 8V92 Detroits sound awesome. Fill it up with oil and check the fuel. 😂🤣😂. If you hang a picture of an 8V92 Detroit on the wall, you’ll have oil in your carpet the next morning. 🤣😂
